Unique Hyatt GP "Exclusives" Auction

I figured this topic might deserve a new thread. It seems to be a fairly interesting concept. SPG just had something similar to this a few weeks ago (is Hyatt copying SPG?). Anyways, the info is HERE.

There are currently 3 auctions listed that will run from 11/30 - 12/13. Two of the auctions are for 2006 World Cup packages in Germany and the third auction is for a Food & Wine Weekend Bonanza at the PH Carmel. You bid with GP points and bidding starts at 75,000 GP points for each auction. It will be interesting to see what all these go for and to see how many new auctions Hyatt lists in the future.

Just saw this. Seems like Hyatt GP points are too "expensive" for this purpose. With the Amex/SPG card, it's easy to pile on the points. Not so with Hyatt. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see the outcome.

I might bid on some future auctions. I have loads of points, and can't seem to burn through them because of the never ending FFN's. Of course if I had even MORE points, say 250,000 more, I would bid more liberally.
