Since about March I have been consistently asked to produce the card. Prior to that, never.

As a diamond I've never been asked. The package is always ready when I arrive with the room assigned and the rate card complete.

What is "Full"?
 

Here's another twist. Stayed at the Hyatt Denver Tech Center on 9/2 with the AAA rate. The Hyatt website states:

"AAA/CAA members receive Free Full Breakfast daily from May 27 through September 6, 2005 at participating Hyatt Hotels & Resorts® in the U.S. and Canada. Offer valid upon mention of offer code BREAKF and paying AAA rate."

The AAA coupon that the hotel gave us was for "Express Breakfast Buffet" only. Upon presenting our breakfast coupon to the server in the morning, we were informed that indeed the coupon was only good for the express breakfast (cold cereal and fruit bar) and it would cost $5.00 per person more + tax for the full breakfast bar. It's not the money, it's the principle. I tried emailing several times through the Hyatt website to point out the inconsistency, but the "Submit" button doesn't work ("Cancel" works fine...). How convenient... :p

This promo needs a serious going over before they run it again.... if they say "Full Breakfast" then it better be... not "here's coupons for the buffet"... which is what I would get as a Diamond anyway...

My experience this weekend at 2 different Hyatts was for the buffet only...

I'm glad to see some others agreeing with my original post. Ths terms and conditions of this offer and extremely ambiguous with it saying that a full breakfast is juice, coffee, and a hot entree off the menu OR a buffet. It doesn't say who decides on this choice, the guest or the hotel. There is a BIG difference between a choice of hot entrees and some crummy buffet which costs the hotel perhaps $2. It definitely needs to be made clear when they offer this Breakfast Rate again.
