Hyatt Regency Club Etiquette

Regency Club Floor etiquette.

--After you've had your free cocktails do you normally leave the server a tip?

--Do you tip after you've had a snack or inclusive breakfast?

--Do most Regency Club Floors serve meals ?

Regency Clubs all provide a Snack (and many) an apertif service, and is all inclusive. Tip as you may a server elsewhere; should the service warrant it then by all means. Also consider the particular location (USA- tipping encouraged, Australia - less so.)

It's unlikely full meals will be served, though some clubs can have meals from the restaurant served in the lounge. If the Hyatt in question is either the Churchill in London or Grand Hyatt NY, such a service has been afforded until at least the previous month.

And at what point did Hyatt Regency's become luxury hotels?!

The Hyatt forum is probably a better home for this post.

Yes

No, not at the time, but usually tip them at the end of a stay for all services combined except for drinks, which have already been tipped for...

No - other than light breakfasts, but you can fill up on snacks during the day.

We normally do not tip in the RC as we consider the staff there as regular (== paid) hotel staff, unlike waiters in NA restaurants.

Thought I already replied, but we tip for drinks as served or at the end of Happy Hour (as you would any bartender/waiter) & then give an overall tip for all services provided at the end of our stay, like you would a concierge as they, in fact, are our Concierge - especially at the HR Waikiki.

I do the above, as well, if the staff go out of their way for me.

Kudos to RC staff at Waikiki

I think the Waikiki RC staff are among the friendliest I have encountered...and have always made my stay there a very enjoyable experience.

Thumbs up RC staff

The staff in the club at Waikiki are great but Wanette in the Maui RC is the best. She goes out of her way to do special things for us before and during are stays. ^

Well, I'll just be the 5th person to say it - the Staff at the HR Waikiki - Micheline, Mark & ??? - spacing out on one of the newer guy's name's right now... are great, well-deserving of all they receive & more.

It's never even occurred to me to tip anyone in a RC and it doesn't seem like the standard of service I've received has suffered as a result. More generally, I feel tipping is a great custom to discourage, not to broaden.

I've made it a habit to tip $10 -$20 per stay (2 - 3 nights) in the RC at Lake Tahoe, as our regular host really went out of her way to make us feel welcome and helped out with anything we needed. As a previous poster stated, she WAS our concierge! ^

Unfortunately, we just said good-bye to her. She's left Hyatt for greener pastures. Apparently the management is trying to find a replacement, and they did have one good canidate, but also several others who we are less enthusiastic about.

I doubt we will be motivated to tip much in the future, given the level of service we have come to expect from some of the less qualified canidates.

However, if the service continues to be great, then we will continue to tip accordingly.
