yes $1-3 depending on promptness/friendliness. I also often leave a tip in the RC-- I think that's more unusual.

$2-3 usually for the amenity, and I leave a tip in the RC if they are nice.

We typically tip too.
Agree with how fast they will run out of the room and how shocked they seem when you do tip.
A lot of times we ask for ours to arrive so we have a lunch time snack break / mid day snack break from the pool... Therefore we are actually not in the room when it comes.

$2 (assuming I am in the room and they are reasonably prompt) and I never thought twice about this.
They are the same staff who you will deal with if you need something else.
I guess I ask why not tip if the service is reasonable? Just b/c the Diamond Amenity is free to me as a guest does not mean that it is FREE.

What do you tip for the Diamond Amenity?
Taking a queue from the thread about tipping housekeeping in the SPG forum, I am interested in how people tip for the Diamond Amenity. What is the going rate for the room service attendant to bring your amenity?

I also tip about $2-3 for the amenity except at the Monterey Hyatt where getting the amenity after waiting a couple of hours from check-in usually involves 2 extra phone calls checking on its whereabouts .

There is a search function at the top of the forum. This was just asked a while ago.
