Rationale for the 7,500 points limit per stay ?
Hi,
I was reading the FAQ section of the hyatt website, and I found this: http://www.goldpassport.com/faq_earn...=5&gpnav=3#q12 A maximum of 7,500 points can be earned per room, for up to 3 rooms for which you personally pay for, on any given Hawthorn Suites stay, no matter how many consecutive days you stay at the Hawthorn property. What's the rationale of this limitation? On a week-long stay, it means you have no choice but to check-out and immediately check-in in another room to split the stay in order to gain points? And that I should refrain from having incidental on shorter stays so that I don't hit the $1,500 spending limit? How do the more experienced travelers deal with this limitation? |
Silly me
Well, I guess I should learn to read, I hadn't seen that the 7,500 points limit applied to Hawthorn suites only... that's why you were not complaining that much about this rule :)
Still, I wonder what's the incentive of limiting the maximum spending per stay at USD 1,500 anywhere... |
