How long for FFNs to post?
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Washington Monday night and the stay posted, along with the 1/2 FFN credit, around noon today. If I stay again at the Grand Hyatt on Thursday night, I would expect the stay credit and FFN to hit my account on Saturday. Is this correct? If I make a reservation at the Park Hyatt Philly for Saturday night, would I be able to use the FFN for this stay if the FFN posts on Saturday? If it doesn't post on Saturday (maybe the weekend delays the posting), would I still be able to use the FFN by calling CS and explaining the situation?
I have a paid stay booked for the PH Philly, but would rather use an FFN if possible. I am diamond if that makes a difference. Thank you. |

I don't know, however, what will happen when you are chekcing in and would not have FFN's account at that time.

First, does your hotel even have FFN availability for your date? There's something GP has to do to your record or reservation to link the FFN with the stay, so your circumstances definitely indicate you'll need to make a call to GP. Last year I had a stay booked well in advance with FFN's earned well in advance. I got a nasty call from the front desk a couple hours after checking in telling me the stay wasn't showing as a FFN and that I'd better straighten it out with GP or they'd charge me rack rate. This was even though it showed as a FFN stay on my account. Anyway, I called GP and they did whatever needed to be done to straightened it out. The only time I've ever had a problem. The point is, you will have to call GP--it won't work even if the stay posts right away.
