Genuine Email Address

Hi All

I have left a few reviews recently, and most hotels have reached out to me to ask me more. However I have had one from [email protected] and it was a little odd - I am a big fan of owning my reviews and explaing to hotels what the issues are that I have found. Can anyone let me know if this is a genuine email for Hyatt?

I was curious after reading this. I asked ChatGPT and this is what it said:Given the evidence:

If you have received communication from [email protected], proceed cautiously (do not click links or provide sensitive info immediately). You can forward that email to hyatt’s confirmed address ([email protected]) or contact Hyatt support directly via their website or phone to verify whether the “help.hyatt.com” address is in use.

I have received legitimate responses to communications I have sent from [email protected] (though the last such interaction was a year ago as I haven't had any particular need to contact them outside of Twitter/phone since then)

Also for what it's worth, from a technical perspective, while it is not 100% impossible, if @ domain-dot-com is legitimate, it would be highly unusual for the organization if they did not also control subdomain-dot-domain-dot-com (they would either have had to make a conscious choice to delegate control of the subdomain to a third party, or been tricked/hacked into doing so).

I trust @Zorak.

Where are you leaving the reviews?

Through the emails sent out by Hyatt after a stay - I had one from each of the 4 hotels I stayed at recently. Howerever, I do also leave reviews on tripadvisor.

I used to receive those regularly but I reckon it's over five years since the last time I received one.

I always like to fill them out as it seems it goes straight to people who can do something about any issues. I also mention the good stuff too!
