MGM - Hyatt termination coming soon. (Rumour)

There was a thread earlier about this that was closed based on rumors.
Now I'm confident this is happening.

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...301747972.html

Investors were told that Hyatt will terminate the MGM relationship and this will be the only full service Hyatt in Las Vegas. I don't know about the timing. It probably won't happen till some of the renovations are complete.

This deal was announced two years ago, and only now the capital has been raised to fund the refurbishment?

In what bizarre alternative universe would Hyatt then rush to terminate the MGM relationship based on adding a non-Strip property in 2025 or later? Because it doesn't like the money it gets paid by MGM to provide a stream of guests?

Bad thread title. Its like saying they will end all SLH partnerships in London just because there is a new PH opening.

Yeah the words "Hyatt" and "MGM" literally do not appear in that article.

I understand if people are cynical, but we were pitched the investment by the ibankers for Grandscape and have the investment deck. Rio is going to become a convention hotel with a Hyatt badgea and as part of the exclusive deal, Hyatt will terminate MGM relationship.

Because investment bankers for somebody other than Hyatt have never, ever, ever, misrepresented anything to push a deal forward...

Unless Grandscape have told you how much they are paying Hyatt for this "Las Vegas exclusivity", I call BS...

Yeah, except since investors relied on this, the underwriting bank and Grandscape would be subject to shareholder lawsuits. and yes, they disclosed how much Hyatt is getting paid for management along with the gaming management.

Rio transforming to multiple Hyatts is not new.

Rio Las Vegas becoming "multiple Hyatt full-service" properties

fact remains, that neither MGM nor Hyatt is mentioned in the article.
speculation again.

Provide some screenshots or other evidence then if you have the pitch materials. People are skeptical because youve provided zero proof and there was already a whole thing before where someone posted about the relationship ending, bloggers ran with it, and nothing happened.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I believe this. Seems like a strange thing to flex and lie about and the kinds of things the OP has said with relation to what they are claiming makes me think they have access to the documents that explicitly mention this and the article was simply a reference to the investor pitch they are referring to. This will be a sad loss if/when it happens.
