Forgot to mention PH Ningbo.

Affirmative, last summer had been the worst.
It’s still an okay property, but don’t expect an experience anywhere near PH HGH, SHA or SZX. Consider the property as an UB with a PH vibe.

I'm not familiar with the area at all; why is the Thompson a worse location? I'd go out of my way for a historic property (such as the Wentworth), but from what I can tell, both the Andaz and Thompson are new.

I'm just a lowly Discoverist, so the Globalist benefits aren't a factor.
Sure, you're gonna be missing out then. If you're staying two nights in Savannah to actually see Savannah then any of the Hyatt properties in the historic district would be preferable. Thompson's location is worse simply because the HR and Andaz are both in highly desirable locations. I'd be ok staying at the Thompson so it's not like it's a BAD area, just not as good.

See the appropriate hotel threads for more info.

Thanks, I think I'll change it then. No award availability left at either, so it looks like I'm paying cash for this one...

Global wise probably a few properties in Asia. Quite a few PH in asia.
For US property, I vote for Andaz Savannah as parking there could be steep as well. Very good hotel with perfect location if you visit Savannah.

How is Savannah in March/April? I’ve been to Georgia May to August and it’s just bad with the humidity.

I got one night at the Hyatt centric French quarter New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Was a great redemption given the room rates. But never again. Holy crap people are loud on the streets all night if you get an outward facing room.

I think March/April would be very pleasant. I went there early May, not bad for me in terms of humidity.

My rankings for the best C4 redemptions in Southeast Asia, as of June 2023:

1/ Andaz Bali
2/ Hyatt Regency Danang
3/ Park Hyatt Jakarta
4/ Park Hyatt Siem Reap

Too bad Park Hyatt Saigon is now a C5. If not, it would be tied for #1 with Andaz Bali.

That's terrible news.

Hyatt should advertise it as being part of the package.

Mainly because I'm in the area and it's the only one that had availability, the other option was seabird but it was 132k points for a suite, I just couldn't justify the difference, mainly cause I'm from socal, I've seen enough beach...lol.. Oceanside is nice but not that nice.

Any other (beach or private / plunge pool) recommendations in Asia? I loved the Andaz Bali but want to try something new.
