With China roaring back after the end of zero covid and Chinese New Year occuring early this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they delay a Q1 promo until after cny spending.
Like they ended Q4 just before Christmas. I didn't realize that and didn't get the bonus points I expected

Although recently Hyatt has been giving more notice, historically Hyatt promotions were announced with almost no advance warning. I´m not sure there´s any reason to assume that a promo can´t start soon simply because Hyatt hasn´t announced it yet.

I doubt CNY is even a large consideration as most festivals are very region specific.
January and February are arguably the slowest months for most hotels (aside from ski resorts for obvious reasons). Which would be all the more reason to launch a promo.
I’m sure Hyatt has a handful of promos ready to launch, they just are looking at the Q4 data as well as all promos run through partners like Chase, AA and MGM to determine which one is right for Q1.
