Hyatt Place/Hyatt House North Scottsdale

This dual branded HH/HP looks pretty nice. Both hotels are located at 18513 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona, United States, 85255

Upscale Hotel Near Scottsdale Quarter | Hyatt Place Scottsdale - North
Extended Stay Scottsdale North | Hyatt House North Scottsdale

I just need a 1-night stay in February 2023 with a 3pm check-out, no need for the expensive Andaz/HR Gainey or similar.

Has anybody stayed here already and could recommend one or the other? Any experiences?

I really don't know, which to choose, HP over HH. I have reservations at the HP, and now the hotel is completely sold out for my dates, only the Globalist Guarantee is available.

We stayed at HH several times this summer when we were having problems with our A/C. I've also put visiting friends and family here. The location is excellent - very convenient to 101, with a Whole Foods, many restaurants, and the Kierland malls all nearby. You're also relatively close to both the Musical Instrument Museum and Taliesin West. The rooms are standard HH new build, a little on the small side but perfectly functional. AC can be a bit loud. Rooms on the south side higher floors have nice views of the McDowells and the valley. Parking is free and this is a very safe area.

Haven't tried HP, as I usually pick HH for the full kitchen.

It's a solid Hyatt option for a no-frills overnight.

Yes, we stayed last June at the HR Gainey and went to Scottsdale Quarter and loved the area for shopping and restaurants.

we do not need the kitchen so I guess we will stay with the HP which is slightly cheaper, too.

thanks for the tips!

Have had a few stays here before and like the location, but unfortunately parking is no longer free it appears ($5/night). Kind of annoying to see paid parking extend into more of the HH/HP suburban locations, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Wow that annoying and insulting. There is no justifiable reason for paid parking at this property (properties).
