I've been told that once you link the accounts, it is on there permanently. However in reality I have found that every time I check in and check out I have to confirm that the World of Hyatt number is on the reservation. Always also keep a receipt in the case that your stay doesn't credit to World of Hyatt.

My experience has been the exact opposite for stays at two of those three properties (and others) in the last year; received credit through both programs.

I booked via MGM on a comp room, but paying resort fees of $40 per night asked Front Desk to associate my WOH number at check in and they flat out refused saying it’s one or the other but not both.

Comp room almost always does not post as a MLife stay. Paid room should post and should have no trouble adding both numbers.

literalt just having MLife Gold gets you Comp nights I don’t even see any options for an $8 night the lowest I see is $20 at Excalibur plus $40 resort fee.

I've booked through mlife, my host, and through WOH in the last year without issues having both programs listed. Never had a problem with front desk at check in making sure both program numbers are associated with the stay; I also always make sure again at checkout that both are in there. Of course, I don't receive WOH night credit if my room nights charges are comped but I have received WOH and mlife points for any spend not comped. When I want WOH night credit and nightly rate is low, I book a nightly rate and have my host comp the resort fees and other charges.

My experience is that if your M life room cost is $0 + Resort fee, it won't count for a Hyatt night credit.
If your room cost is $1 or above + Resort fee, it WILL count for a Hyatt night credit.
There is no such thing as picking where you want to "credit your stay". It always credits to M life. You just get to decide if you want it to ALSO credit to Hyatt (points plus elite night credit).

As with Jerry, at some properties I've been getting the double dipping again where both Hyatt & WN are awarded. Not sure what triggered it, but something has, and it's certainly not from my end. I think I've had both WN & Hyatt numbers attached to my Mlife since inception, and, except for a brief period, my nights have always posted.
In years past, comped nights with a resort fee, and even those without, did count for EQNs. Whatever that loophole was, assuming it had been one, has been fixed, at least in my experience. Comp nights no longer count as EQNs, but your spending during your stay with earn points. Unless you have a host who would be willing to rate your room for $1, your comp nights will not earn EQNs now, irrespective of your resort fee.
Again, as Jerry observed, the way to handle this is to have a host comp the resort fee and keep the cheap room rates; sometimes, at the lower end MGM properties, you can find room rates at around $10 - $15.

I’m in the camp where Globalists should have always received waived resort fees it’s the least MLife could do for their “partnership”.
If they’re going to allow Gold+ to waive resort fees it is de facto giving Explorists and Globalists waived fees as well. However, that’s not a guarantee that the stay also gains Hyatt EQN credit.

And it’s your belief that utilizing an MLife Benefit on the reservation (such as getting them to waive resort fees for being Gold+) would still fully earn EQN? It’d be nice to have an official confirmation from Hyatt or MLife.

I am hoping that even with these changes that I will still be able to do something similar. I guess I will find out eventually maybe by trial and error.

We don’t know what is going to happen in the future with these changes to the mlife program, hence all the recent speculation in these multiple threads. I am only commenting on what has been my experience in the last year or two which is quite different than yours. That being that I have always been able to have my mlife and WOH account numbers added and I have always received WOH night credit and mlife credit whenever my stay has had a nightly rate that has not been comped. I have always received mlife and WOH night credit even when my host has comped the resort fee and F&B. I have not received WOH night credit when I have had the room charge comped but have still earned WOH points for any charges not comped.

Can I ask, who is the “host” here? I have stayed at MGM Vegas Strip properties many times, and successfully credited to WOH, but I have just never been introduced to a “host” nor seen anyone wear such a tag. Is the host at the Front Desk, the M Life desk, or something else entirely? i am M Life Gold.
For example, for MGM Grand:

Comp nights do not earn stay credit but the resort fee charges do earn points.
However, if you stay multiple nights, one of which being comped, you get stay credit for all nights. This is because MGM averages out the rate over the entire stay.
