Hyatt Place Flagstaff REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

This HP has been on and off the Hyatt map, it has been on again for a couple of months, so I am optimistic this will actually materialize

https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/ar...lagstaff/phxzf

currently slated to open „Fall 2022“, I cannot book any rooms for May 2023.

if anybody is in the vicinity and could stop by to have a look at the current state, that would be appreciated.

we have stayed previously in Tusayan, but I am extremely hesitant paying +/- 300$ at a HI Express or BW again….

Predict cat 5 when it, if it opens. Flagstaff is a tough hotel town.

Thanks for sharing this, very good to know. We visited last winter (for Arizona Snowbowl) and stayed at the Drury, which was just fine, but would love a Hyatt option. We had a great meal at Mother Road Brewing which is walking distance from this location.

Looks like the hotel is a Category 2. That’s a great deal if you ask me for flagstaff.

Per the Hyatt site, looks like the hotel won’t open until 4/26/23. “Now accepting reservations for stays from April 26, 2023 and beyond.”

I checked various dates in May, June and October for awards, and don’t see anything.

Hyatts are not required to offer award rooms until they've opened.

The hotel is still under construction and due to open mid June. It is located at 397 S Malpais Lane on a 1.90 acre lot. It will have 90 rooms.
A Hyatt House is scheduled to start construction soon at 13N/963 W. Route 66 Flagstaff on a 1.63 acre lot. It is in the design phase and
will have 100 rooms. A new Marriott Townplace is under construction and a new Home 2 suites purchased a lot and is in the very early stages
of development.

They’re missing the hot summer season.

I’m currently in Flagstaff right now at the ES since the Hyatt hasn’t opened yet. I walked by it and got some pictures. Overall, the outside looks finished, but there looks to be a lot of boxed furniture on the inside. The rooms don’t look finished yet either.

I had a stay mid- October and was told the hotel won't be ready and they moved me to the Springhill suites (and covering the cost).
