Book category 1 hotels at their off season 3500 point rate. Some nice ones in Bali.

There was a wide availability earlier this month for HR Atlanta off peak at just 6.5k points. Not sure if that's still true heading into August.
If you can leave the country, HP Los Cabos, HH Mexico City, and HP Panama City are all cat 1s and often sub $100 cash rates.
It seems that I get a very high rate if I book Excalibur/Luxor for more than a few days. Is there a way to boom a long+term stay and get a low rate?

Weekends at most places in Vegas go up substantially. I stayed last December, and Sun-Thursday nights.

So the longest I can book and get a cheap rate is to book Sunday to Thursday? Avoiding Friday and Saturday whenever possible?

I’ve also found many sundays or thursdays to be high priced so just check the dates, weekend rates tend to be 4x to 10x of the weekday rates that’s why avoid Friday and Saturday.

That’s what I did last Nov. and Dec. Always check to make sure there are no conventions or other events.

I was booking some free nights through M Life loyalty program, so rarely paid over $100 a night on the paid nights. If you match Hyatt to the higher M Life tiers, you avoid the resort fee. I’m just a lowly Pearl member, though.

For simplicity, do you guys got any suggestions for a 21-30 days booking?

I managed to find a couple of weekends throughout the year that were cheap enough to warrant doing a 12 night Sunday-Next Friday stay. Just look at the rate calendar on the MGM site. This was for Exaclibur.

Even weekend rates are higher at $100-$149 for Excalibur and Luxor, I got lots of comps Monday thru Thursday, so adding Friday and Saturday and divide by 10, it will still equal to $30 a night only
P.S. I am Hyatt matched MGM gold, I don't gamble to get comps, (everyone get different offers, least you still have to spend something) but I do spend money on stays and dining at MGM properties, plus will occasionally splurge on a higher end property like Bellagio, Aria, vdara, this summer MGM have exclusive rate that some dates for Bellagio are only $94, Vdara for $77, mirage for $37, Mandalay bay as low as $30

Solving your Friday/Saturday quandary: Drive or fly to SLC or PHX for plenty of weekend Cat 1/2 action. Then back to LAS for the next five-day week.
