Seeking advice for Denver
 

I will be going to a concert at Red Rocks, but I have never really spent any time in Denver (aside from passing through on planes, trains, and automobiles). Aside from the Thompson, which is a bit out of my budget, which hotel/location would be best for a globalist on their one and only trip to town? This will be over Labor Day weekend. It looks like just about every other hotel is in the $150-225 range.

3. Hyatt Regency (Aurora)
4. Hyatt Regency (Denver Tech Center)
5. Hyatt Place Pena Station (Airport)
6. Hyatt place (Boulder)

Note not on my list as I have not stayed there yet Thompson, and Centric

If you want to be close to Red Rock and not downtown look at Hyatt House Belmar but I have not stayed there.

Grand Hyatt is the best as a Globalist. You can most likely getting an upgrade to a suite. I never missed upgrading to a suite.

Hyatt House in Belmar/Lakewood is not in downtown but close to Red Rocks, you can probably get upgraded to studio or 1bdrm suite. Whole Food and Target are a block away and there are restaurants/shops around the hotel. Parking is free also.

There seem to be a couple of HPs near the airport based on a quick search. For Globalists looking for a Hyatt near the airport for an 8 AM flight, which one should I go with? I don't know how frequent the shuttle is and if I can't wait for it, I wouldn't mind taking the train to the airport.

Hyatt Place Pena Station is next to the train station, so it’s pretty easy to get to the airport - non stop to the airport. (If you travel this month, RTD is free).
There is a Hyatt House closer to the airport but need to take Uber or shuttle. Both hotels offer shuttle service every 30 minutes.

I was really interested in the Westin until I saw a cash rate of $841/night. I'm not going to pay that much for the convenience of staying at a hotel attached to the airport. That's insane.

I'm looking at a September date. Does HP Pena have a shuttle to the airport? If so, what's the interval in the morning? I wouldn't mind heading to the airport at 4:30 AM to get breakfast at the AMEX Centurion Lounge rather than eat continental at the HP. If I do take the train, how long is the journey and what's the frequency at that time of the day? Do I need a transit card or can I tap my Chase Sapphire Reserve?

What airlines are you taking and when is your flight?
Seems like DIA’s Centurion lounge opens at 5am.

I'm looking at UA and it'll be in the first week of September if I can get approved to take time off to go to the US Open.

Not sure how much time you would have or you want to spend at the airport, UA terminal is Concourse B and the Centurion Lounge is in C, so you need to travel a bit. Also the Centurion Lounge at DIA gets full pretty quickly and might have to wait to get in. :(

If you have UA Club Card, 1-DayPass or *G from non-UA companies, using United Club might be better….
