Globalist best room available - including standard suites - 2022 onward

Wow, what month did you stay at GH Seoul? And was it a weekday or weekend? Any chance you tried emailing them in advance?
I'm planning to stay a night or two at GH Seoul in May. It will definitely be over the weekend, and it will be a Globalist Guest of Honor booking, using 15k Hyatt pts. I'm hoping to get upgraded to a suite
Thanks. I appreciate your feedback.

Hyatt Regency, Manchester, UK
Booked standard King using points (great vlaue for >$250 room rate)
Upon checking in advised I'd been 'upgrade' to Club Access King (woo hoooooo = sarcasm). I mentioned the Regency Suite showed as being available earlier in the day, the agent said it wasn't now. The desk 'manager' to the side of us overhead the conversation and said 'let me check'. She then confirmed it was available and I would be allocated that room. Was available for $650 that night
More and more, I think us Globalists that haven't established a relationship with a property, just need to be well prepared to 'discuss' suite availability when checking in, to ensure we have a fair chance of getting the benefits we've earned. Otherwise, we'll just get what's in the best interests of the property.
Other than this, the property is GREAT and VERY WELL RUN, with a PROPER HYATT breakfast service !

3 nights
Booked base King
Upgraded in app before check in to King Water View
Asked at check in...no suites, but upgraded to a King Corner City View. Which sounded nice, but it looked a lot like a junior suite to me. Living room, real closets, large bathroom with soaking tub, and decent sized bedroom. No complaints here.

1 night
Booked: Base King
Proactively upgraded in app before check in to...I forgot the exact name, but a large executive suite of some kind. It was nice and very large, but the decor made it feel "empty" somehow. All the requisite furniture was there, but the room was lacking some sort of "soul". Still very pleased though, especially with the proactive suite upgrade.

Booked: Base King bed (cash)
Received: Corner suite king, upgraded in app day prior. Fabulous suite and it felt really nice not to have to push for a best room available upgrade, which has been the norm for me.
Hyatt Ziva PV (Mar)
Booked: Partial ocean view king
Received: Ocean front king, upgraded in app day prior. Requests for club tower and balcony room upgrades at check in were denied even though they were available for purchase in the app. "Computer glitch reflecting wrong inventory" was the excuse given. I get the impression this property doesn't want to give any of its nicer rooms away for free, even to Globalists

😂unrelated I had a hotel try to pull that same excuse on me. Showed them the app where I could book the suite right now, and they "made arrangements in the system" to open up the upgrade.
just feels so sleazy when they lie
