Am I the only one who can't use Hyatt points?
Not sure if this has something to do with the Peak/Off Peak that was introduced, but finding all the hotels I want to book have no availability for weeks / months at a time. Looking at booking a variety of locations in March and zero availability when searching for points. I thought maybe it was just bad luck at first as I was looking at booking 5 nights in a row, so I started searching for individual days and no luck either. Looked at many different locations. Same thing no availability. Then I started searching for holidays in July. Same thing, no availability. Has something changed?

I'm in the middle of a 12 night stay at a Park Hyatt all on points booked 3 days before arriving. In areas I frequent, free nights are widely available.
In a couple of properties, nothing seemed available for months on end - free nights or standard suites. I called my concierge and magically free nights opened and standard suites in most properties.
In the 1 that refused to open free nights, my concierge apologized and gave me free points as an apology. I know Hyatt corporate does crackdown and push for properties to adhere to program terms for sure but thay some properties need a stick

As steveholt mentions, corporate codes sometimes interfere with award availability. If you provide specific examples you'll probably get more helpful responses.

I haven't encountered any hotel with no award rooms available in my searches. I also am not looking at the likes of Ventana Big Sur which is known to be in extremely high demand for awards, but they also don't play games as far as we know.

Here are some of the locations that I am looking at and ideally I would like a location that has a Regency Club so I can use my Globalist benefit.
Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch
Hyatt Regency Maui
Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa
Grand Hyatt Kauai
Looking to go mid March but need to be back home by April 3
When booking 1 day only. There was nothing. So I did a search and managed to get Kauai for 6 nights. Still cannot get the others but looks like I am going to Kauai.

Seems you’re trying to snag a room during Spring Break when most families are also aiming to vacay. During Spring Break, I typically book 9-12 months in advance for hot spots like Hawaii, just in case.

Probably because OP is looking for base level points rooms...which likely are not available if not available for cash

Say what?? So the game is standard room sold out on cash rate, so we only have the $748 OV room. But since we only make standard rooms available on points, hence no rooms can be had on points?? I wonder how many/few standard rooms this property has vs. non-standard.
