IMO Napa and Sonoma aren't particularly kid-friendly or "family" destinations since a large part of the activities of a visit involve either winery tours and tastings or fine dining experiences. Yeah, there's some hiking and maybe balloon rides, plus big trees near the Sonoma coast, but most people come for the wine and food. Kids shouldn't be expected to just hang out and get board while the parents do these adult activities.

I suggest that's not a particularly good option, unless you want to spend all your time driving. It's about 30 miles and frequently more than a hour's drive from the Alila. Driving times in the Napa valley area are often deceptively long compared to the distances traveled as the roads can be very congested, and once you leave the valley floor, can be narrow and twisty.

Valet is free and included in price. No option to self-park. I don't remember seeing any destination fee but we stayed on points.

If not, how did you feel about the tub positioning? We chose estate view suite over the Vinyard view suite (both 60K points, but Vinyard view 500sqft+ larger) specifically for the outdoor tub. Our room (123) was private enough that we were comfortable using it. But we would've been upset to have had this one, because we're not *that* free with ourselves.

Was this an upgrade?

And yes I burned a suite upgrade on this.
I think this room is like 1400+ sq ft

For those who have paid for meals at Acacia House ... Any issues getting points for the spend when charged to your room ? I'm trying to maximize base points earned on my upcoming trip and am considering a dinner here.

Speaking of dinner, we have a two night stay here early September. For those familiar with the area, I'd appreciate any suggestions for nice nearby restaurants. Not looking for anything over the top like French Laundry on this trip. Walking distance or by car is fine.
I've looked on the FT Napa thread and google but not finding anything with recent reviews that catches my eye. I'm a vegetarian but hubby is not so a spot that goes both ways is preferable. Also, not opposed to booking Acacia House if anyone loved it.
Many thanks in advance!

Neither of us are vegetarians, so recommendations have not reflected that.
