Kids shouldn't be expected to just hang out and get board while the parents do these adult activities.
Agreed. There is Train Town in Sonoma for those with kids and unfamiliar with the area.

I suggest that's not a particularly good option, unless you want to spend all your time driving. It's about 30 miles and frequently more than a hour's drive from the Alila. Driving times in the Napa valley area are often deceptively long compared to the distances traveled as the roads can be very congested, and once you leave the valley floor, can be narrow and twisty.

Do they have resort/destination or parking fees?

Valet is free and included in price. No option to self-park. I don't remember seeing any destination fee but we stayed on points.

Well worth the visit and points usage. Cash rate too me is not too bad either.

Also here is the menu for free globalist breakfast

Was this an upgrade?
If not, how did you feel about the tub positioning? We chose estate view suite over the Vinyard view suite (both 60K points, but Vinyard view 500sqft+ larger) specifically for the outdoor tub. Our room (123) was private enough that we were comfortable using it. But we would've been upset to have had this one, because we're not *that* free with ourselves.

I wonder if you're expected to wear a swimsuit in that tub?

seriously. This is a after 10pm type of tub location.

And yes I burned a suite upgrade on this.

I think this room is like 1400+ sq ft

I'm still here. Really enjoying the place and will write up my experiences when done. Short preview: it's a pretty impressive property.

For those who have paid for meals at Acacia House ... Any issues getting points for the spend when charged to your room ? I'm trying to maximize base points earned on my upcoming trip and am considering a dinner here.

Speaking of dinner, we have a two night stay here early September. For those familiar with the area, I'd appreciate any suggestions for nice nearby restaurants. Not looking for anything over the top like French Laundry on this trip. Walking distance or by car is fine.
I've looked on the FT Napa thread and google but not finding anything with recent reviews that catches my eye. I'm a vegetarian but hubby is not so a spot that goes both ways is preferable. Also, not opposed to booking Acacia House if anyone loved it.
Many thanks in advance!

Unfortunately the best not over-the-top places have closed recently, Redd and Terra. Haven't eaten dinner at Acacia House but friends who have eaten there raved. Of the restaurants walking distance in St Helena, we've enjoyed Market, albeit haven't been for dinner. Also really liked Charter Oak, although i wouldn't consider that walking distance. In yountville, Bouchon is excellent so long as you like classic French Bistro. Rutherford Grill would also be a good spot. Haven't been in many years but Mustards and Brix have staying power for a reason.

Neither of us are vegetarians, so recommendations have not reflected that.
