Tiny detail alert - new font style on My Account page
This is one of the least substantial things I could ever start a post on - but I noticed things like your point count, Your Progress YTD, night/points count, etc. all have a new "fanciful" font, totally clashes with the more minimal style of the WOH logo. Maybe more distinct/ownable...but can't say I like it, doesn't feel clean/modern...feels something like Marriott would do frankly, or maybe Continental pre-United merger when they had their super dated 90s font style.
Will see if it lasts... |

Least substantial? This bothers me more than not getting a Globalist suite upgrade.

This caused me to check the website. What I noticed is fancy font are associated to BOLD type for highlight purposes, whereas plain font is not bold. I don't have any problem with that. You can quickly glance at the important details of your account.

In general I think Hyatt's digital assets are well designed both visually and functionally, and perform well with high reliability. But this was a (minor) misstep. |

:D Maybe not as much, but for me it is profession-adjacent...it is a visual cacophony
But the WoH logotype? Horrible. Like someone fired up MS Word and typed W O R L D separated by spaces in a blue box with whatever the hell that gross ugly typeface is they use. It all hurts my eyes.O F H Y A T T |

As a former graphic designer, it's pretty awful.

I actually put together a thread of my own on this, then decided it was too nitpicky and deleted the tab. But I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this does not look good.

The type is boring and that red arc is 90s swoosh, like Nike/Sealy, but it's a look, and memorable, and a better effort than the current phoned-it-in WoH logotype.

We've been Bonvoyed😜
If this is the biggest complaint we have on Hyatt, I'll take it. |

That '5' is rather odd.

Hyatt, fix this.

I like it. Looks fancy!

Identifont - Jovanny Lemonad I suspect next month they will switch to “Stalinist One”. They also need to test their layout better. On my iPad with Safari: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...2055451a0.jpeg |

There're some minor changes in Hyatt brands identity:
- Destination Hotels is now Destination by Hyatt with a cleaner logo - joie de vivre is now JdV by Hyatt with a more playful logo These changes are visible on Hyatt brands banner and their standalone websites (https://www.destinationhotels.com/ and https://www.jdvhotels.com/), but not Hyatt brand websites (https://www.hyatt.com/brands/...). Also, Hyatt websites have not been updated recently, with upcoming properties (and even some open properties) are not showing, whilst still show exited properties. I think a redesign is coming soon. |

I like the evolved Destination logo - modern and cleaner, as you said. Not a fan of the childish looking one for JdV - frankly their little light blue heart within a bold dark blue circle was an iconic part of their brand image - they even have it on their bedsheets! Now that I think of it, Hyatt actually received a lot of flack for the Andaz logo, with various designers calling the use of multiple colors childish, uneasy on the eyes with the whole ANdAZ thing and the oversized lowercase d, and unfitting for what is ultimately meant to be a luxury brand. Hyatt was rumored to be discussing a redesign, but seeing as nothing happened years ago I’m not expecting anything new now. khabah https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...c0fe4c741.jpeg |
Sad to see the Jdv logo go. Quite like it.
Must say the "UrCove" brand seems like something many people wouldn't want to be caught dead in. Just...odd. |
Blech. The change over to askeva / yeseva for bolded and header text in their WOH style sheet is complete.
My eyes hurt. David |

My eyes hurt. David [class*="b-text_"], .current-point-value, .tier-value { font-family:"Open Sans","Arial",sans-serif; } I don't recommend that anyone do this, it's a potential security risk to allow a plugin to be able to read and modify web pages that you visit. But for me it's worth the risk to protect my eyes. |
