This promotion has taught me the value of nuisance small purchase trips, the value of filling up my gas tank 2 to 3 times a week while being work from home and how to be proficient in reloading my amazon card.

and I learnt how many $1.10s it takes to fill my car with gas, and got not so nice looks from others waiting to use the self-checkout lane at a supermkt as I make 10 different purchases. Now sitting at just over 40 , I can go back to being normal again

Many convenience store clerks and waiters have looked at me oddly when I ask to split a single purchase into many swipes. Starbucks folks are pretty open

I tell them I get a gift for 50 swipes. They all laugh and then swipe several times. The only thing annoying for me is I live in China where acceptance of international credit cards of fairly low.

I've found I can link Hyatt card to WeChat and the Hyatt card is charged at KFC and Family Mart. Only reliable places

711s in China also charge to the Hyatt card when linked to WeChat.

Very important data points. What does Family Mart and 7/11 code as through WeChat?

Just hit 30 card transactions, 15 of which were just from yesterday. Pro tip: self checkout lines are especially accommodating of hogging the terminal during a Valentine's Day snowstorm. This has been entertaining, not sure what the next adventure will be after hitting the 50 swipes but hopefully it's something as rewarding as this promo has been.

It’ll be sad to go back to normal and jot have these back to back / overlapping promos from Chase and Hyatt.

I just got my 5k points from the $3k spend offer last month, then another 5k from the 50 transactions promo. They’ve kind of set my expectations to a 5k a month earning rate

Too true. I feel gratefully spoiled with bonus points. Now here’s to hoping that the 25% points rebate on awards bookings sticks around another few months. I’d like to stretch these bonus points even further.

Yes, extended the 25% would be great!

I’m a little surprised we haven’t heard anything yet about more “systemwide” promos for when Bonus Journeys ends on 2/28. It would be quite odd if Hyatt go from leading the pack (in terms of generous promotions - some would argue that they were a little too generous) to having nothing at all.

I’m hedging that the 25% promo and maybe other perks from Bonus Journeys returns for a 2 month period covering March and April. With so many properties still having lounges and other amenities closed, I think the 25% rebate is necessary to maintain the value and pricing power especially for the higher category properties. Hopefully Hyatt is thinking the same thing.

Have the points from the 50 transactions offer hit your Hyatt account yet? Have not seen that DP yet.
