Hope I’m not saying the quiet part aloud here but is it possible to MR remotely at a property that gives a mobile key? Need a couple extra nights and 3.5k points at a cat 1 would make sense to waive a few resort fees next year alone.

No. Are there no Cat 1’s near you?

Lol I think it’s likely the same distance to Ventana as it is to Vegas.

There are some Off Peak dates for Cat 2’s coming up, otherwise there’s Vegas.

There is a major difference between Vegas and Ventana, as far as runs go

Another poster mentioned that it was time to hit up the campgrounds, which in CA would mean Ventana Campgrounds for an MR. Assuming OP lives in SoCal it’s roughly the same distance to there or Vegas.

I’m not sure distance matters in this case…

distance is irrelevant when one goes camping for mattress run purposes.

It’s relevant because you have to check in physically at the gate.

If you’ve done ghost stays at Ventana post it. AFAIK you have to check in. Plenty of people including lowkeyflyer have been asking about ghost stays for months…

the SOP for the campgrounds is different than the resort. I’ve physically camped here before (as recent as this summer) and it might as well be a ghost stay. (Plus this has been discussed upthread.)
