MGM Hyatt Status Match - Eligible for Club Lounge Awards?
I searched so my apologies if this has already been asked. For a few years I matched my Hyatt status with MGM to get MGM Gold status which has certain perks like free parking (although it's free now) however recently my Hyatt stays have been fewer and fewer and I have oddly gotten MGM Platinum status through spend at MGM hotels. I've come 180 degrees :D
My question is that while I know I can request a status match from Hyatt or really just "opt-in" on the following webpage (guess I can't post it yet) will I get all the benefits that come if I had earned Explorist on my own through Hyatt stays? The only one that really interests me is the 2 Club Lounge Access Awards however I'm guessing that I won't get them as I would have gotten the status through a match and don't have enough nights. Can anyone confirm? Probably still worth doing it however I am planning an award trip somewhere at a Hyatt where it would really come in handy to have those Club Lounge awards so I wanted to see. TIA |
Nope not anymore however with hyatt cc its very easy to get a pair at

Club lounge awards are only awarded at certain night thresholds: two at 20 nights followed by another two at 30 nights.

Also worth noting most, if not all Club Lounges will be closed all year.

Thanks everyone. I didn't think I would get them this way and appreciate the confirmation.

Once one gets to the 20 eqn threshold how long do you have to use these club awards before they expire? |
