Chasing Hyatt Status...
Hi all, I'm a newb to many things miles/points related so need much of your guidance. I have a question on awards redemption towards Hyatty Explorist or Globalist status. If I book 3 rooms at 4 nights each for a family vacay, will my nights stay be counted as 4 nights or 12 nights? Thanks for your feedbacks!

You'll only receive 4 nights for elite qualifying purposes but receive the points for all the rooms and nights.

easy_money has it.
Per T&C: https://help.hyatt.com/en/hyatt-term...terms.html#/IA A Member may earn points for up to three (3) rooms per night (Member’s room and two (2) additional rooms) within the same hotel or resort. The Member must be a registered guest, occupy at least one of the rooms, and pay an Eligible Rate for all applicable rooms. The Member will earn Base Points for each of the rooms, but the Member will only earn Tier-Qualifying Nights (defined in Appendix C) for one (1) room. In addition, only the room occupied by the Member will count toward current Program promotions and receive Program benefits and services. |

Duplicate post.

I got around this once by booking the same nights in separate hotels that luckily were within blocks of each other. This will only work in a large city like Chicago/NYC. Otherwise the inconvenience isn’t worth it. |

Even this doesn't typically work. I've only gotten it to trigger the extra night credit once and that was when I was paying cash at Hotel A and points at Hotel B (and it also happened to be when Hyatt started counting points for credit).
