Any recent experiences staying at the Alila Villas Uluwatu after being incorporated into World of Hyatt? We've booked a stay in two months on points. The rates for the weekend we booked were hovering around $800-1200 per night after tax, so it seems like a decent deal on points when the rates are high.

Experiences are 10,714 points per person. If tax is already factored in that would be around 2.3 cents per point value out of the boat experience and 1.5 cents per point for the cooking experience.

I am staying here tomorrow for one night as I am staying at the St Regis for 10 days. I had some orphan Hyatt points after not requalifying for globalist this past year. Decided to do a daytrip to uluwatu as well as book a room for a slight change of scenery. Will update my post once I stay there.

I'd be interested to hear how the food is. We're thinking of going to Bali in September 2020 (actually a postponement of a trip we had considered for Sep 2018), combining this property with either the HR or the GH, likely 10 nights total.

Checked in today. And so far, I’m very impressed. Great globalist recognition. Villas are one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom. Booked the one bedroom on points. No real point in being upgraded to a two bedroom but they did allocate us in an excellent ocean view one bedroom villa.

Since all guests here receive breakfast, they offer a $100 resort credit to globalists (points or cash stay).

Food has been excellent. But service has been unbelievable.

So breakfast is included on an all-points award stay for all guests, not just Globs?

I was wondering about that, since on the booking page, it says breakfast included under the rate rules for standard rates, but no mention for member rates, AP rates, or point redemption rates.

That is correct. Breakfast is included for all guests, no matter how they booked.

I was under the impression that only guests on cash rates and Globalists were provided free breakfast from my correspondence with the hotel. I'll follow up in a few days during my stay. Also, from what I can tell there may not be a two bedroom. There are several review on Tripadvisor stating they either paid or were upgraded to a two bedroom and it was a three bedroom hillside villa with one bedroom locked.

$100 resort credit is pretty generous!

I don't believe this is correct. Breakfast is only for Globalists and those who book on certain cash rates. Currently staying in a three bedroom villa and I asked the property and Hyatt concierge before our stay, , as well as our butler while on the property. All of which informed us that only Globalists are provided free breakfast on award nights. The in villa breakfast is 390k++ IDR per person. I'll post a review in the coming days as we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom hillside villa due to a wedding buyout. We've been blown away by the pampering the butler who is assigned to the 3 bedroom villa has provided. Many complimentary items. I will say that we've had some Alila/Hyatt issues as the hotel did not want to allow us to have a 3rd guest which is allowed for free with an award booking. We had to contact Hyatt concierge several times to get this resolved.

It's the standard higher end hotel Prive credit.

We were on an award stay, not Privé. And the front desk manager told us all globalist guests received a $100 resort credit. It was taken off at check in without any issue.

In terms of the breakfast, I’m honestly not sure. I flat out asked the GM if breakfast was included for all guests, even those on award stays, and he said yes. I’ve emailed him to follow up since there appears to be conflicting reports.

Sorry I was confused. $100 is quite generous indeed.
