Did you hit 40 nights or 65K base points this year? The milestone reward for this is "Your choice of 5,000 Bonus Points, a $100 Hyatt Gift Card or save 10,000 points on a FIND experience."

Yes and I chose the bonus points. I would not chose a gift card.

While Im convinced Marriott was doing damage control, is that what were thinking World of Hyatt is also doing?

This reminds me of a thread back in 2012 when Hyatt randomly gifted their members 50,000 United Miles.

I'm surprised companies still do these things in the internet age. Before, if someone was left out, they had no idea. But now, for every person made happy, probably five or ten are mad because they read about it online but received nothing.

I've had three or four 200-night years with Hyatt but have never received so much as a Christmas card.

Not suggesting Hyatt should follow suit, but, if I were running a consumer retail business, I'd figure out those who don't post stuff on MSM and send it to them.

I got one too (39 nights / 90K points / current Glob) despite not selecting it as a milestone award. I see it as thoughtful, but the cynic in me noticed that it arrived a couple of weeks after I spent a not-inconsiderable amount with The Opposition. Credit card tracking data ??
