Thanks for pointing this out! I have two fairly long stays in August and this will get me a bunch of points back.

Does anyone know (or have experience from last time) whether guest of honor bookings get the 10% back?

I don't know for sure, but why not? It is a point redemption after all

Would be great if one of the professional bloggers could reach out to Hyatt to confirm this applies to existing reservations...

Last year, this did work.

I made several reservations for my father and I got points back for each.

Just wanted to raise this query again-- anyone have any data points about this? Thank you.

Happy July 4 to all.

Anyone receive their points refund yet? Checked out of 2 stays last week and received no points yet.

Negative. iirc the 10% rebate in the past has posted sporadically. Usually once a month for previous month. I don’t expect to see the first rebate until August probably. And for one of my stays last year I had to get a manual adjustment, but had to wait out the mentioned time frame noted in the t&c before they did it.

Last year IIRC, they did not and there was some vague verbage covering this in the T&C, which they enforced even though I pushed up to Hyatt customer relations.

Odd, I had the opposite experience for several bookings and they refused when pressed.

per hyatt concierge on twitter,
“ It doesn't matter when you made the reservation. It just depends on if the stays are with in the promotional dates. So any stays between July 1 and Sept 2 in which you've booked points, you will get he 10% back. Please note it can take 4-6 weeks for the bonus points to be put in your account. -Rebecca S”

hope this clarfies everyones questions.
