Thank you-- I had actually checked there and pretty much nothing...

Status at the beginning of January. Not quite finished yet. Several once gorgeous, now rundown properties nearby are in the process of getting renovated. So maybe this is going to be a swanky neighborhood at some point.

If the target opening date is May 23, 2022, what are the chances of actually being able to stay here in mid-June? I made a reservation here along with Pousada de Lisboa and Fontecruz Lisboa (Marriott) as backups and am wondering if that is an overkill (esp. when I should be using those those points on other bookings before the devaluation next month).

I just noticed that this location is near a hospital. Will there be ambulance noise?

The hotel will be accepting room reservations from May 23, 2022. Originally it was April 28th.

This property is also part of the ongoing "earn 500 bonus points/night" new hotel promo. Hope they extend the promo dates given that it won't open until late May.

Did you get notified of this? Someone I know just had an early June booking pushed (or alternatively moving them to a different property). We have reservations late July and hoping it'll be open.

yes. Some family members are also booked early June.

was offered move to another property on the other side of town near the train station or cancellation and almost nothing else other than if they go back, some discounts are offered off of room rate and suite upgrades or something.

Another delay in opening: "The hotel will be accepting room reservations from July 07, 2022."

Hyatt Regency Lisbon

Disappointed to get the delayed opening correspondence this morning. We were confirmed for the last week of June and offered alternate booking at The Editory Riverside or cancellation without penalty. I'd noticed a few weeks ago this property was no longer showing up on the "500 Reasons to Stay Somewhere New" list, which makes me question if the new opening date of July 7 will also be postponed.
