Park Hyatt Los Cabos (Opening 2025)
I didn't see a thread so started a new one. This looks really interesting and promising. Planned for 2020 I believe

A modern design, influenced by the surrounding desert scape, the rugged coastline and the indigenous architecture of the region. Guests will enjoy amenities including restaurants, a luxury spa, outdoor terraces and private plunge pools. Original Hyatt press release dates back to 2017 https://newsroom.hyatt.com/HYATT-ANN...-LUXURY-HOTELS https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...2ea2e56448.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ad83c27449.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...90b500e053.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...04db2e4da2.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d7c92fc948.jpg |
Very interesting.
Looks like it'll be right next door to the Sheraton. I haven't been to that stretch of beach. |
Any updates on this property... How is the location?

That's a pretty specific date for something so far off.

I cannot find a construction report for this project and Google maps are not up to date for this region, but a photosphere from Feb 2021 show it's progressing nicely. Though I have to say, May 2022 seems too ambitious.

If I got one of the rooms closest to the water I could get some serious short game practice in.
|
Construction ongoing...
Based on this YouTube video from last month... construction is ongoing and seems a lot is left.

Anything new on this? (updated opening date - or when bookings will be allowed)
|
No update yet per my concierge
|
For those that are knowledgeable on major construction project timelines - is there any chance this is open for booking next summer?
|
I thought I'd bump this thread. Has anyone heard anything about any progress?
|
Now 2024 per this release.
|
Any updates on this? Would love to book for 2024 but not feeling hopeful at this point.

Hotel Hyatt site is live with a Summer 2024 date (and it looks like PG.backpacker flagged already here).
|
Excited for this one! The mobile app has a bug that will show the category for this hotel to be the category of the last viewed hotel when using the map view. I almost jumped when I saw it said cat5. One can dream...
I will be staying at the Grand Fiesta Americana located next door this weekend. Will try and get some pictures and report back. |
my guess is Cat6 max., don’t see a sustainable demand for $1000/n stays in a failed state at a beach resort where you can’t get in the water

Sustainable demand for $1000/n stays is exactly what the top end of Cabo is and has been for quite some time.

Plus The Cape is already a cat 7 -- hard to imagine this being less than a 7 or 8 given that.

Construction photos
So I haven’t had a chance to ask around if anyone knows the timeline. Make your own judgements from the photos. Apologies for the weird angles and crops as I took these from a moving vehicle.

agreed. will be a cat 7 or 8 is my feeling. would make zero sense to be a lower category than the Cape.

Wasn't the issue less the installation of the detectors and more the turning off of the detectors?

Now "Late 2024"
|
By looking at the construction photos, IMHO there is almost no chance this property will open in 2024, and 2025 sounds also a bit ambitious.
My guess is some time in 2026… |

Ugh. Early 2025.

Anyone drive by here for a construction update recently?
