TSU's on Award Nights
 

So I know we can use them with points, but can we use them with award nights? I have a 1-6 certificate expiring soon and I would like to use one....

I have an upcoming points(5 nights) + award night(Cat 1-7) stay, had no issues applying(via concierge) the TSU across the entire stay.

My Concierge was also able to apply a TSU to a combo points-and-certificate award stay, back in early 2018.

It's not permitted by the T&C, but sometimes the hotel is willing to accommodate.

This is not allowed (although definitely a YMMV thing) as per II. a. (7) of the T&C:
7. Awards Not Combinable. Unless expressly set forth in the terms for the applicable award type, awards are not combinable on the same dates with other awards, upgrade certificates, partner awards, certificate discounts or benefits, incentive travel awards, vouchers, checks or any other special offers. However, a Member may choose to use multiple awards for back-to-back stays.

The same goes for trying to use club upgrade certs in combination with award nights.

Thank you for all the responses... this appears to be yet another example of "officially no" but "unofficially yes" (just like allowing more than one room access to the club and allowing certs to be exchanged for points)... I, too, believe I've gotten them to confirm a TSU using a combination points/cert stay but wan't sure if I remembered correctly.
