Thumbs down Hyatt new policy only 1 bottle of water per room

Checked in to Hyatt tonight and told new Hyatt policy is one bottle of water per day per room. Woman at desk gave us a card from Hyatt stating the policy. Called Hyatt and verified this applies to all Hyatt’s. Policy went into effect 7 days ago according to Hyatt representative. Cost to Hyatt probably less than .25 a bottle. Absolutely horrified with this new policy.

Go to the gym and see if they are providing them for the exercise room. I forget now where I was, but unlimited water there. And, point taken, probably has more to do with the maids carrying all of that water than the .25. In any case, a rotten deal.

A Hyatt I recently stayed at provided no water in the room, and asked that WoH members who wanted their free water go to the front desk and show ID to get a coupon, and then go to the market and use that coupon to buy a water. They refused to give out coupons for your whole stay in advance so you had to go to the front desk every day for a new one.

That is what it says in the current terms (which were updated March 1)

What did it say in the old terms?

I don't think they ever mentioned water?

This one just screams of nickel and diming. Yikes.

This was my experience at Herald Square, HH Shelton and HR Greenwich. One bottle only in room. It's just Aquafina too! Makes one grateful for decadent, or, generous APAC and ME.

At HP Cincinnati last week, I was given a bag at check in, which contained a large bottle of water and candy.

HR Seattle put 2 bottles still, 2 bottles sparkling (glass Pellegrino), about 2 weeks ago. Wonder if that's changed too.

Are you a frequent guest? I have never gotten premium water at a US property as a Globalist.

The weird thing is they make a big deal about providing water. They also make a big deal about the once-in-a-lifetime 5-brand award. More so than some of the really great things they do. Very strange.

And I thought this thread is about bottle warmers for baby. You may need more than one if you have twins or triples.
