I'm not a gambler so there's no way MLife would comp me anything, much less appoint a dedicated concierge to me. However, those of you who are comped rooms should probably ask your personal concierge to see that you get Hyatt stay credit. I suspect room stays are internal MLife data that's probably sanitized with a total spend/points attached to it before it goes to Hyatt - it shouldn't be a problem or cost to MLife to declare them qualifying stays.

Bumping this thread. Checked in at the Mandalay Bay tonight and couldn't figure out what was taking the desk agent so long. Turns out they were finding an upgraded room for me because of my NOIR status. !!

I had no idea - no email notification or anything - but yep there it is in my M Life account, effective thru Sep 2021.

I don't gamble more than a few hundred $ per trip, but I do have a ton of Hyatt nights this year, so I suspect that's what drove the status upgrade. I'm not complaining - if nothing else it gets access to the VIP check-in lounges for coffee, water, etc. (I did ask about access to the swank VIP Penthouse lounge, but was told that's based on gambling status only.)

I'd be EXCITED to get Noir status. I just switched my gambling to MLife this year, PLATINUM gaming, have been Globalist/Diamond 9 out of last 10 years. My MLife- Hyatt spend in 2020 will be high, hoping for the uptick to NOIR.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I think I just got upgraded to Noir too.

When I log in on mLife, it shows as Noir (as it does when I go through an attempted hotel booking). But it also still shows the message with the exclamation mark, "The M life Rewards annual Tier evaluation is currently underway. Please allow up to seven days for your Tier Level to process."

I did earn about 250,000 Tier Credits (so would have naturally requalified for mLife Platinum), but the bulk of that was actually from F&B/club spend (esp. when they were giving 75 TCs/$ in August). And my understanding is that Noir usually requires the kind of gambling that would generate several million TCs, or significant actual losses. I have played a few sessions (1-3 hours) of $300-500/average/hand blackjack, but my typical play is $125-150/hand, and I'm up for the year at each one of the 8 mLife properties I've played at (not up a lot, but up is up).

So I can only infer that it's Hyatt and not my mLife spend (or occasional gaming) that prompted the upgrade. Still, I'm only sitting on 45 nights and 45k base points YTD.

Whatever the case, I would be very glad to have Noir -- the limo pickup, Bellagio & Mandalay Bay lounges, and super-close parking at MGM National Harbor are pretty good perks, not to mention the free 7-day balcony Alaska cruise (it's probably the only cruise that my wife & I want to do).

Will swing by an mLife property tomorrow to see if I can't get a card generated... but I'm skeptical as long as the "evaluation is underway" message still shows online...

don‘t want to disappoint you, but I believe the cruise is not included as status was matched for free. In thr benefits section on mlife it is stated „for qualifying members“. I also thought I read this somewhere else. But worth giving a call.

Do you know if lounge access is free for Noirs? I did not find anything in the benefits section that this is a perk. Will be staying at the Vdara in November.

Yeah, I'm generally not holding my breath on anything, especially the Alaska cruise. (since I had enough points to requal for Platinum, I would get a free cruise anyhow, but when I inquired last year it was a 5-night Caribbean or Bermuda cruise, the Alaska option was only for Noirs; my wife and I have no desire to do a Caribbean cruise)

IIRC, in your case you actually got notice from Hyatt/mLife stating it was a match/promotion. I haven't gotten anything yet. Will update when I know more. I happen to have a Vegas trip coming up in a few weeks, and with the particular client I'm going with, it will be very worthwhile to have Noir status (regardless of whether it's a real invite or a Hyatt match/promo).

I have done Vegas with other Noir members in the past. The information on this post is generally accurate: https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/fo...posts/1907919/

I tend to stay at Bellagio (if w/ wife or solo) or MB/Delano (if a guys trip) so can't comment on Vdara, but both Bellagio and MB have legitimate serviced lounges with alcohol and food that are accessible only to hosted guests and Noir. As a Platinum on comps, I've gotten into the regular little VIP rooms like the one at Delano next to the check-in desk, but there isn't really any benefit to that other than not waiting in line, and being able to get free coffee/water (which definitely adds up, to be fair).

Here too. I just saw this post so I checked mine. It's Noir. I did table games little and got an offer some comp rooms but I didn't expect Noir. I'm also Globs so I don't know it's because of my Globalist status, mlife activity itself, or both.

Mine also shows seven days to process thing, so will see what happens.

Nothing for me, still Gold. Stayed one night at Park MGM on a comp, but didn't gamble (quick overnight stay as I was passing thru). Have some tier points from the Hyatt promo. Have 111 nights/124k base points with Hyatt this year

Fascinating. Would you have made platinum with mlife otherwise?

My only explanation that makes sense is Glob + mlife Plat --> noir.

I'm en route to the Harbor to try to get a card.

ETA: Got it! 2 years validity so it must be Hyatt. What a pleasant and unexpected gift. Good targeting by Hyatt -- I definitely get utility out of the handful of perks provided.

Wow-- thanks so much for the tip here! I checked mine and it says Noir as well; presumably almost exclusively from Hyatt (>70 mights) but only 4 nights in Vegas (with minimal gambling spend). Saw the caveat of 'still processing' so will need to head to Nat'l Harbor; will only believe it once I've got the card in hand!

Yeah I'd go over there and get the card -- took all of a few minutes for me yesterday. If you haven't used it, the Noir self-parking is extremely convenient (separate turn-in just before the casino valet, so two entrances before the hotel valet; when you enter the garage, turn right at the "left turn only" sign and you'll see the Noir signs above the parking spaces; the Noir status on your phone will suffice to get you into the VIP entry).

As for the "processing" message, I'm pretty sure 59impala is correct and that that's just a general message on everyone's account. I checked my wife's (essentially inactive) account and it said the same. ETA: Actually it's gone from both accounts now though.

Not anymore - I was granted Noir by my host back in 2017 after simply asking for it. I do regularly hit 1mil+ TCs/year, but I never got it near the inception of the program when I was hitting much higher TC counts.

To be honest, Noir isn't that useful anymore other than getting to check-in at the VIP lounges (such as at Bellagio) without needing to be RFBL, and possibly the limo transport.
