If you happen to be in So Cal, the Tijuana HP usually has good rates.

What are the logistics of staying there?

I would walk across the border, don't drive. It's much easier to cross the border both ways if you don't have a car. Just take a cab from the border to the hotel. Also you need a passport to get back to the USA.

Current rate at Tijuana HP appears to be $118 US.Too expensive for a mattress run. What kind of customers stay there?

Also, if you're truly doing mattress running - consider signing up for the Citi Prestige when it becomes available again. The 4th night free is a great benefit! Super easy to use, and it counts as a normal night for Hyatt (and counts towards spend, points, nights, etc).

I've done 10 nights HYATT PLACE CABO SAN LUCAS. Think it was 61$ a night for 1 adult.

if you spend $5,000 using a payment service that charges you 3% it will cost you $150 for 2 nights or $75 a night. But you will get 2,500 points per night and save on trip related expenses (such as food and air ticket).

20 nights = $50,000 x 3% = $1,500 = 50,000 Hyatt Points.
Which payment service are you referring to?

Thanks.
That property actually crossed my mind. Have you been there before? Is it easy to get to from the Sanya airport? Is there public transit linking the airport to the hotel?

I don't think that works anymore.

You can pay your IRS taxes online for 1.8% or your property taxes for 2.5%. There are other options such as plastiq, paypal, cash, venmo etc
