There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

We value location, breakfast quality, charm, and comfort.
Andaz is quite nice and modern but very different from other SLH properties in London. I only know Flemings and Dukes as SLH property and both location are closed in Mayfair and good for leisure stay especially visiting classic places and Westend. Their atmosphere is classic and British boutique hotel flavored. However there is no additional benefits on top of breakfast(continental only) and 2pm checkout as globalist as you mentioned.

On the other hand, Andaz is well located in the City and convenient for business use, or exploring Shoreditch district.

The difference is rather atmosphere and location than elte-benefit.

I would add that IME some of the Design Hotels voluntarily offer elite SPG benefits beyond what the program requires, partly because the properties/employees seem thrilled to be associated with Starwood (perhaps RIP due to the Starriott merger as we will see whether this continues under the new combined program). I've been offered above and beyond upgrades as well as 4 pm checkout without asking. In addition, they generally offer discounted coupons to the buffet breakfast even though the SPG rates don't include breakfast while reservations booked on the Design Hotels website generally do.

Thanks, that's interesting, would you mind letting us know which Design hotels provided benefits as you describe?

Looks like 56 additional properties are now part of the SLH/Hyatt partnership:

One issue is that, like most hotel loyalty programs now, joining the free SLH Invited loyalty program and booking directly through SLH, loyalty program members are able to access a members only rate which is 10% discounted from the regular rate. Unfortunately, this rate is not being extended to WOH members booking through Hyatt.

(Also, note that all SLH loyalty members who book directly are granted complimentary breakfast as well.)

Finally a Stockholm option. Better than nothing at all since otherwise it is no Hyatt...and Copenhagen and Helsinki. Some nice additions in terms of locations that were previously uncovered at all. A real Hyatt would be way better but still...

Pity I am going to Sapporo this week and they just added the Kasara Niseko....oh well. Holiday Inn Sapporo will have to do.

How would mistake fares/rates be handled booking through Hyatt if one found a low mistake rate? Would it be honored or cancelled out after booking?

While I appreciate the Stockholm option, I will still be using points in other programs to book Nordic Choice hotels to get the most bang for my buck for hotels in this city.

The NIMB option in Copenhagen is 40k Hyatt points per night. I am unlikely to use that option unless buying Hyatt points to lower the cost on a night with very high rates at NIMB.

DP of a specific hotel: The Rusty Parrot Lodge shows sold out from Feb.6/2018-March.6/2018 on SLH/Hyatt websites but there are rooms available on the hotel website. Thought this is interesting to report? Comments?

No different than when you may see a hotel sold out on Hyatt.com but still see rooms available on Expedia; inventory can vary based on distribution channel.

SLH, like LHW, is not a management company. Individual properties may be on different reservation systems than SLH.com.

While available inventory does vary based on distribution channel, this is a situation that is a bit different than that of Expedia showing availability for some hotel inventory while a hotel group website or hotel website shows no available inventory. But it’s indeed a situation of available inventory being anything but uniform across all sales/distribution channels.

Any experience adding a Hyatt number at checkin to a reservation not booked through Hyatt to get points? I have a stay that was booked via Citi prestige and earning points would be gravy....
