There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

Bump. Has anyone heard tidbits or rumors in the last few weeks about how the tie-up will look like?

Still, very interested to learn what happens to the SLH/Hyatt partnership. Could be great to expand the Hyatt footprint and really push me to Hyatt over the new Starriott (since high end european hotels are my main target of point burn).

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: The Principal Madrid, a Member of Design Hotels™ will be leaving the partnership between Design Hotels and Marriott on November 14, 2018.

bye Marriott! Hello SLH/Hyatt

With the changes to the WOH programm (P+C, Premium Suites), I am actually surprised nothing has been announced on this possibility of earning and redeeming points.
as per press release, the launch is scheduled still for this year...

Still more than 2 months left in the year, I wouldn't anything until Dec, especially with the enhancements (devaluation of P+C, etc.) just announced, they might want to wait a while between announcements, and more likely, they probably have no idea what they're doing yet.

Hyatt is going to be in a rush to make SLH properties available for point redemption? That would surprise me, unless they package it in with another major devaluation of the Hyatt loyalty program.

I guess we have the answer to this now.....Category 8 at least for the most luxurious SLH properties. Saying the new category will only apply to the SLH properties but we all know that’s probably BS in the long run.

as per this Skift article, we should hear more by mid-November:
The loyalty program partnership between Hyatt and Small Luxury Hotels of the World(SLH), a marketing consortium of independent luxury properties, will also officially launch in mid-November, allowing World of Hyatt members to earn and redeem points at participating SLH properties.

With the Marriott IT debacle, if only Hyatt could have the SLH partnership live for 2019 and a juicy promotion early next year, then first quarter of 2019 could be the quarter where I move the most stays/nights away from Marriott/Starwood to Hyatt. I am just waiting for something, anything.

The 60K promo got 40 nights out of me. (+ another 10K for each 10 nights above 60 for the year, so 100K in total for 40 nights)

Agreed that something similar + a SLH specific promo (1,000 per night like the introductory Oasis offer?) would go against the trend of the major chains offering decreasingly lucrative promos and get a good number of nights from people...

From that, I am not optimistic about elite benefits being part of the deal.

Being an entry-level nobody with SLH's programme gets you breakfast and some sort of upgrade IIRC, so it's not much of a leap to a deal on upgrades with Hyatt.

Indeed. This is playing out in what has become the typical way for Hyatt to devalue the loyalty program for customers in the main while packaging it with the verbal equivalent of bovine excrement.

Currently. But I am expecting Hyatt to cut SLH hotels a break that enables a cost-cutting exercise for the hotel which means that they will no longer make included breakfast so widely available at these hotels.

Almost, but they define entry level nobody as "invited" status, after your first stay, you are "invited" status, after 5 stays (I think), "indulged" status.

So yes, nobodies, but one step above entry level nobodies.
