There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

It’s still a win even if there are no status upgrades. One could always book a base room as an award and then negotiate upsell directly with the SLH property. If redemption rates are even remotely reasonable, this really adds tremendous value to WoH.

As per this article, it is foreseen, that the 2 loyalty programs are to be merged:

https://www.travelweekly.com/Travel-...ux&cid=eltrlux

So partnership could be closer than expected, including tier benefits etc. We'll have to await final communication by the end of the year.

Good info, but I wonder if the article might be using the term "merge" a bit loosely.

Indeed. Given that the official press release just a week earlier didn't even commit to all SLH hotels being a part of this, it seems premature to assume something like an SPG/Marriott type merger.

I followed this link last week but didn't sign up. Now the link isn't valid. I guess it won't matter once the Hyatt deal happens - I'm not planning a stay until March anyway.

Enter the URL into Google and access the cached site. I just accessed and created an account with Inspired level this way.

Brilliant; I just signed up. Although I'm still not planning a stay until March so who knows what good it will do me.

Thanks for the cached tip, I might actually stay with SLH in the meantime so this is most appreciated! I hope for meaningful collaboration between Hyatt and SLH, some great properties including my favorite in Capri, Punta Tragara.

This link only got me INVITED status. How do you get INSPIRED via Amex without a stay?

Thanks for the hints here! I wasn't able to upgrade my existing account, but was able to add a new one at the Inspired level.

I wonder how this will work? At least one property is a member of both Design Hotels (affiliated with SPG/now Marriott), and SLH. These Design and SLH programs appear to be looser affiliations than the traditional Hyatt, Marriott, etc brands. I wonder if properties will have to leave either SLH or Design if they overlap.
Principal Madrid

Modified to add that I may have answered my own question, at least about this property. I can't book it past Oct 31 on the new Marriott/SPG website. (their website is quite buggy today, and I couldn't use the flexible date feature, but I tried several dates which showed available on the hotel's website but not Marriott). So possibly SLH/Hyatt won this one.

Interesting observation. I wonder if November 1st might be the targeted live date for the tie-up with Hyatt.

Or it's the date the hotel terminated their Design Hotel (MR/SPG) affiliation independent of what is happening with the SLH/Hyatt deal.

Probably something like that.

Still, very interested to learn what happens to the SLH/Hyatt partnership. Could be great to expand the Hyatt footprint and really push me to Hyatt over the new Starriott (since high end european hotels are my main target of point burn).
