There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

I'm sorry - I've done several searches but cannot find the answer.

I booked a SLH hotel on points in March. Today, I discovered that hotel has now left WOH. On a cash booking, I'm fairly certain I could stay (and just not received WOH points for the stay). On a points booking, will I need to rebook? This is a European ski property, so the sooner I get everything figured the better.

You will almost certainly need to rebook. If the property is no longer part of SLH's arrangement with WoH, they would not be able to receive any payment from Hyatt for the points stay.

Thanks for that - have you encountered a situation like this yourself?

I mean, it should be easy enough to structure a contract so if a property leaves, Hyatt still pays the property the previously-agreed reimbursement rates for existing reservations... each party still has bank accounts, so its not like making payment is impossible.

Almost anything is possible, but ... I had a points booking at a HP that was reflagged to a Hilton property before my stay. My Hyatt reservation wasn't honored. While not 100% analogous, I'd think it would be easier to construct a mechanism to pay for my stay compared to the indirect relationship between Hyatt and the property you've booked, with SLH somewhere in the middle.

Posted this in the SLH sub-forum also. Trying to figure out the situation - an SLH property shows "no rooms available" on Hyatt.com, however, they do have rooms available if I look on SLH.com

Does that mean if I book on SLH that I will not earn Hyatt stay credit & points? Or will they "connect" to my Hyatt account if I provide my member # when I arrive? Just wondering...very unusual situation (to me)

If you book on SLH.com you will not earn hyatt points (or get special treatment for hyatt status). For SLH properties, Hyatt does not promise availability or best price, so the individual properties often have better room availability and pricing if you book with SLH than with Hyatt. Think of it from their perspective... they dont want to give Hyatt a percentage of the room rate if theyre very confident they will otherwise get someone to pay... this is especially true at seasonal properties. From experience, very few rooms are made available to the many category 7-8 properties in Italy/Greece in the peak summer months, but in May/October you might have a bit more luck.

Just a little observation, SLH used to add new hotels quite regularly but they stopped around a month ago. This may means nothing, or they're being acquired - that also explains Hyatt's move to buy Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Cancellations in WOH app not taking?

Are other people having issues too? Had this happen twice in the past 3 weeks. The Norman Tel Aviv wrote me to ask if I really wanted two rooms. I had canceled one and booked another type but they showed both reservations in their system. Then Nimb Copenhagen wrote me today to welcome me later this week. Cancelation was done months ago.

I just got a note that the Pacific Resort Aitutaki is no longer participating in SLHs partnership with WoH as of 26 January 2024. They are honoring my reservation (which used points) but said I wouldnt earn tier points. That doesnt seem right to me. Anyone else have this experience? Any way to argue for the tier points?

I think you should count yourself lucky that they are honoring your points booking. Although not exactly the same, it is typical for deflaggin properties to refuse to honor points bookings.

You mean you will not earn night credits?

Agreed. OP has the choice of keeping the reservation on current terms or canceling.
