There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

I updated the wiki for Hotel Ranga in Iceland
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyatt...l#post31442837

No particular Hyatt benefits besides points and night credit since the hotel was full so no upgrade, and breakfast is included in all rates as far as I know. Nonetheless, it's great for Hyatt to now have a hotel to earn points in Iceland. This property is not a luxury hotel at all given the hardware, but it's a good base to visit the south shore of Iceland.

I am honestly pretty shocked with the quality of these "small LUXURY hotels". I have not really seen any reviews here so far that would convince me to stay at an SLH again. I have already written a review on the Plymouth hotel https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyat...er-thread.html. not recommended.

then "santorini" thread (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyat...santorini.html) does not show any real evidence of a hotel which is recommended. It's an island I have always wanted to visit, but looking at the pictures of the hotels, they are nothing near to "luxury". Quite disappointing.

I have yet to see a really convincing positive review here in this forum.

So far, SLH is only an option for me should there not be a Hyatt in the same area.

Of the hotels that I have stayed at so far, I have to agree with your sentiment. It is nice to earn stay credits for locations that otherwise do not have a Hyatt, but I have not truly felt anything luxurious about the SLH properties. Even when staying at the URSO hotel in Madrid, a hotel with many rave reviews from different media outlets, I felt that it was a decent stay with nothing to write home about.

I am trying to discern what might be the best SLH properties that are part of WoH and available for award stays. So far, only a few have been mentioned. Maybe more can follow up?

Recently completed a four-night stay at the Saint Ten hotel in Belgrade, Serbia [review coming soon]. Booking made through Hyatt's website and was over 900 EUR for the stay charges alone, but got only 47 points from it. Surely this is a mistake - I've tried escalating the matter by phone, but not sure how long this will take to fix. Any ideas?

Sounds like an IT glitch to me. I know you only earn points on your room rate, however--no other incidental charges.

Can't your concierge correct this for you?

I have a four night stay coming up soon at the Sailrock Resort in Turks and Caicos. Will report back. I paid with points before it was moved to category 8. The stay includes plane transfer from to the South Island which is nice.

Similar issue for me - significant room rate but only earned a handful of points. My concierge fixed it quickly.

I recently wrote a review of SLH in Bergen which was quite nice, but it's not part of Hyatt.

I wonder if the SLHs outside of Hyatt are nicer on average than the SLHs which decided to join Hyatt. After all if they voted against Hyatt, perhaps it's because they feel they are doing just fine as is and do not need new volume of guests from Hyatt?

I do not have enough of a sample size to judge yet but I will be paying attention going forward.

Is there a master SLH/Hyatt list? I see a lot of SLH properties coming soon, can’t wait for more options.
