There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

Getting “invited” member status before having completed even one stay at an SLH hotel has been par for the course.

No update yet. I keep checking this thread once in a while - I am sure someone will share details here when known.

Tokyo Gajoen (formerly Meguro Gajoen) consistently shows up as much more expensive than PHT.

While I am not familiar with the properties, I see a couple in Austria (St.Anton am Arlberg + Lech am Arlberg) who seem to be consistently selling for 1-2k EUR per night during the winter even for week days.

So now we know of 2 in Austria and 1 in Tokyo with high rates, I would not be shocked if we could find many more... so I am not sure that it's a correct statement to say that the most expensive of SLH are in line with PH.

good point i was not talking peak season (blackout / few entry room?)

at one point very recently could see list of SLH descending by price

some PH are $1000+ entry rate
PH tokyo not as high as other PH
i said "a number of PH" = most expensive PH

that tokyo hotel is wild, 60 huge rooms, but no facilities
dec 6 $571 > $1010 on SLH (direct rate is even lower)
thats much less than PHT (even prepaid) on same date

SLH had fregate island for example, but not anymore

Kagehitokiri may have been talking about properties that were even more expensive than Tokyo Gajoen. Sure, there are still SLH properties that are much more expensive than the PHT, but not at the multiple over Hyatt hotels that was there several years ago.

Disappointing that only 50 was added in. Was hoping for ALL the hotels. Im hoping they add the ones in the Philippines and Croatia soon. Pangulasian in the Philippines (El Nido) is an awesome resort!

Category 8 Hotels @ 40K a night is as follows:

Hotel Le Strato (Courchevel, France)
Hotel & Spa Des Pecheurs (Cavallo, Corsica France)
The View Lugano (Switzerland)
Centurion Palace (Venice, Italy)
Palazzo Vecchietti (Florence, Italy)
Palazzo Vecchietti (Rome, Italy)
Santorini Secret Suites & Spa (Santorini, Greece)
San Antonio (Santorini, Greece)

So it appears there is no difference between basic members and Glob at these properties?

I do like the extra options it provides in some places for sure, but I wish there were more properties added and definitely going to be disappointed if there is nothing extra for Glob.

Resort fees not waived for Glob at SLH properties. Man, you are not even entitled to a bottle of water..."Members are not entitled to receive bottled water, late check-out, guaranteed availability, free parking, club lounge access, waived resort, destination or facility fees (on award or paid nights), Guest of Honor privileges, or any other Program benefit"

Wonder if maybe they will change the Category 1-7 night and make it a 1-8?

The “benefits” are roughly just what active members of SLH’s own program receive. That program only has two real tiers and the only difference with the higher of the two tiers is that it is eligible for award night accrual. So yes, I wouldn’t expect that any Hyatt members would receive more than what SLH gives its own members.

I just got the email about this and read through the T&C. It looks pretty poor for globalists -- you get nothing that any other WoH member doesn't get, and it's a lot less than what you get at a real Hyatt.

It seems ok if you don't have status. Free continental breakfast and 1-level upgrade subject to availability.

If you are globalist, you still pay resort fees, and no best room available upgrade, and no suite upgrades. It's a pretty big downgrade from a real Hyatt property.

I'm surprised that this partnership is so bad. They couldn't even negotiate best room available for globalists? It's a nice perk that doesn't cost the hotel too much.

just checked the rate at gaya island resort on borneo and the rate on hyatt.com is $60 more per night than what shows on slh :/ and at 20k points is a terrible deal when the paid rate is $260/night
