World of Hyatt Credit Card benefit details and notes

Anniversary Free Night Award (Category 1-4)
  • Issued 10 weeks after cardmember anniversary date
  • Expires 1 year after issuance
  • Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
Additional Free Night Award (Category 1-4) with $15k spend
  • The spend counter for this benefit tracks total cumulative purchases during the current calendar year (excluding $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions).
  • The spend counter for this benefit resets at the beginning of every calendar year. Chase does not make this spend counter visible to customers, so interested customers must calculate their own. Note that this is a separate spend counter from the "Two Additional Night Credits" spend counter below.
  • Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross $15k)
  • Expires 1 year after issuance
  • Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
  • Cardmembers are eligible for only 1 Additional Free Night Award per calendar year (e.g., spending $30k does not result in two Additional Free Night Awards)
Two Additional Night Credits with every $5k spend
  • The spend counter for this benefit tracks total cumulative purchases since account opening (excluding $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions)
  • This spend counter never resets. Chase does not make this spend counter visible to customers, so interested customers must calculate their own. Note that this is a separate spend counter from the "Additional Free Night Award" spend counter above.
  • Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross a multiple of $5k)
  • For World of Hyatt status qualification purposes, the night credits are associated with the transaction date (not the posting date) of the triggering transaction, not the statement closing date. For example, December 2020 transactions with transaction dates during billing cycles ending in January 2021 will count toward the 2020 status year, not 2021.
Other Benefits
  • 4 Bonus Points per $1 spent on purchases at Hyatt hotels
  • 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent on restaurants, airline tickets purchased directly from the airline, local transit and commuting, and fitness club and gym memberships
  • 1 Bonus Point per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • Discoverist status every year
  • 5 qualifying night credits every year
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Travel & purchase coverage

Other notes and tips

Chase spending tracker
  • The Chase spending tracker is useful for calculating your spend counter for the $15k Additional Free Night Award and your spend counter for the Two Additional Night Credits
  • Chase mobile app: "View all transactions", then switch to the "Spending Summary" tab
  • Chase website: From the account page, in the "Things you can do" menu, choose "Spending Summary"
  • Remember to add spend from prior calendar year(s) as needed (see spend counter notes above), and to subtract $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions from all years
  • Full list of non-qualifying transactions: returns, refunds, balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee

thx, I did the min Spend on my Jan statement , in previous yrs it would have posted when that statement closed, now its a calendar year and was told it can take up to 10 weeks. After the 10th week I called back and was told I have to wait till my statement closes end of April. Well it closed a few days ago and still no sign of the Cat 1-4 cert.

Called back might as well been talking to a wall she finally said she will move it up the ladder and expect a letter within 10 biz days.

Has anyone else but kevinjm got their cert?

if anything for April the proper amount of pts transferred over but only 2 night credits, called yesterday and 2 more showed up today with yesterdays date, I think they still owe me 2 more of might be a few $s short , theres no way to tell for sure imo

But no cert as of yet in '22

ah yes, if you spend more than $10k in one month the 2EQN apparently doesnt credit the same time because I had this question upthread in January but did a day or two after the first set credited.

i guess the later it posts, the longer expiration you have, unless of course if you are in need of a cert

no immediate need, but my membership year is every July, so from 7/1 - 12/31 I got a cert for charging $15K and then it starts again comes 1/1 instead of 7/1, so that might be whats causing the trouble.

That may have happened in the past as a quarterly promotion via chase.com/mybonus. See https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...all-cards.html for ongoing discussion of such offers.

FWIW, I have no Q2 offers on my WoH card & don’t recall seeing anyone else mention one. For Q1, WoH did have 5x on dining.

I currently have 5X on groceries and gas stations via mybonus. For Q1 I had “spend $3k, get 5k”.

I was really surprised that I received that offer after just completing the previous quarters offer (spend $3k, get 5k). It actually motivated me to keep the card another year as it basically sweetened the pot of the free night a bit.

I do wonder whether Hyatt will further sweeten that pot by following the recent lead of IHG & Marriott in allowing free-night certs to be topped up with additional points for higher redemption levels.

The top off system is only because the IHG and Marriott certificates are so low value to begin with. There's NOTHING of IHG or Marriott that I want Hyatt to follow the lead of. Marriott and IHG are in a race to the bottom to see how little they can offer while still retaining customers.

Marriott, yes, but IHG's new program is a big improvement.
