Also got my points, all backdated to the statement close. Anyone know an easy way to keep track of how much more spend is needed to hit the next $5k/2night interval?

I only need another 2 nights to requalify and then I will put spend on another cars.

The way I am doing it is on the chase website filtering by payments made and then add them + current balance.

My points posted the same day that the statement closed (oct 6), even before the statement showed up in the chase appm

I applied for the Hyatt card in jan/feb timeframe this yr. i then upgraded to WOH card in early july. Can anyone tell me how or why i just got billed the $95 annual fee nov 1st (yesterday)?? I was nearing the $15k spend for my free night and i will be upset if my progress just reset.

I'd send a secure message to Chase. They are usually very responsive-- often get a response within 2-3 hours.

called in basically said the fee can be charged whenever and is irrelevant of your membership anniversary. Sound very different from all the other chase cards i have ever had.

Maybe they are charging the fee 2 months early to make sure its paid prior to being awarded the free anniversary free night? I dunno. I like the card and its a keeper but this fee timing really threw me off.

they can charged whenever but they should have also refunded you the prorated portion of the $75 AF from last year.

It sounds like they just took the prorated $75 refund and applied it to the WoH fee (also prorated). Which is why the AF is being charged now instead of in the first month the card was active.

If I make a $1,000 purchase on December 30, 2018 after my statement closes on December 17, 2018, I assume the $1,000 spend will only count for elite night credit in 2018. So all spending that counts for 2019 elite night credit starts on Jan 1, 2019. Is this correct?

Thank you for contacting Chase regarding your World of Hyatt account.

You are correct. Only purchases posted to the account starting Jan 1, 2019 and on will go towards the spend for 2019. Anything before will go towards the 2018 year.

If you need any other assistance, you can send us a secure message.

We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Chase.
I'm glad you got this in writing. I'm still hesitant to trust the rep and their systems, given that it seems like everything (points and nights) has been posting so far by statement period. To be safe, I'll try to get the spend done early
