  • Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
Additional Free Night Award (Category 1-4) with $15k spend
  • Spend counter tracks total cumulative purchases (excluding $95 annual fee) during cardmember year. Spend counter resets every cardmember anniversary date
  • Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross $15k)
  • Expires 1 year after issuance
  • Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
  • Cardmembers are eligible for only 1 additional Free Night Award per cardmember year (e.g., spending $30k does not result in a second Free Night Award)
Two Additional Night Credits with every $5k spend
  • Spend counter tracks total cumulative purchases (excluding $95 annual fee) since account opening. Spend counter never resets
  • Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross a multiple of $5k)
  • For World of Hyatt status qualification purposes, the night credits are associated with the posting date of the triggering transaction (relevant for billing cycles ending in January)

Other notes and tips

Chase spending tracker
  • The spending tracker is useful for seeing how close you are to the $15k free night threshold, or the next $5k threshold for 2 qual nights
  • Chase mobile app: "View all transactions", then switch to the "Spending Summary" tab
  • Chase website: From the account page, in the "Things you can do" menu, choose "Spending Summary"
  • Remember to add spend from prior calendar year(s) as needed (see spend counter notes above), and to subtract $95 for each annual fee paid

Maybe that will change though. Just would like to grab this new card before it goes 5/24.

Thanks
I received an e-mail from Hyatt advertising up to 50K points for referrals, 10K points a pop. I am going to try to refer myself when I am ready to reapply.

FYI I have had the Hyatt card for 8 years. Cancelled it on 8/3 and paid it off. My closing date was 8/11 and I applied for the new one on 8/12. Didn't get automatic approval, but screen said that they were looking further into my application. Called the Reconsideration line the next day. They just needed to move some of my credit from another Chase card to this one and then I got approved. Said I should receive it in 5 - 10 working days.

Would that be 7/3, 7/11 and 7/12?

I am interested in the answer to this as well. I cancelled July 1 but have a hyatt stay coming up, want to get the new card ASAP but don't want to jeopardize the 60K sign up promo

Another DP.

Applied July 6th with instant approval. Qualifying nights posted July 10th. Received my card July 16th.

It's quite disappointing that this card is plastic, like some users have already pointed out. Wonder why this card is plastic while my Marriott Premier Plus is metal.

I haven't seen that - do you have a link? Does it require registration?

Yes, registration is required. You should've received a one-click registration email, but you can also use this: https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/e...ointsback.html

I registered for the 10% points promotion, which is perfectly timed ahead of a trip in mid-August. However, I'm also planning to cancel my old Hyatt CC and apply for the new one at some point over the next month or so. Will that process, changing CC numbers, etc. somehow impact eligibility for the promotion? Or should my WoH account now show that I'm registered and qualify for the redemption automatically?

When does the Discoverist status post once the account is opened? Is it necessary to call Hyatt to get the status amended?
