Not a Globalist, but have stayed there a few times. Most recent, I was just there last night. No free breakfast AFAIK as their lounge does not open till 12PM. As a Glob, you can check in a the private/VIP reception area, or the line marked for Hyatt elites. I booked King room and got upgraded to Studio Suite. FWIW, I have Ocean Premier Platinum status which probably helped, as I'm only a lowly Explorist with Hyatt.

Not sure how the upgrades are with Globs, but IMO you may have a better chance being upgraded within their own rewards program, Ocean Premier. If you're headed to AC, since you're Hyatt Glob, you should have MLIFE Gold status or can match to it online, which you can then match to Caesars Reward Diamond. Using the CR Diamond, you can get match at Ocean's to their Ocean's Premier Platinum, which comes with a complimentary 2 night stay. Since you'll be in AC, and if you have free time, you can use Ocean's Premier Platinum or CR Diamond and get matched to Hard Rock Rock Royalty tier and receive a $100 in Free Play money and some other perks including free room nights.

Don't expect much. Free breakfast, free parking and no resort fees. Would Suggest to match status like above ocean club would be free for drinks and food.
FYI if you book with Hyatt you can't use any comps towards any charges to your room.

Are you sure about the status match with Mlife Gold granting the ability to receive Diamond status with Caesar's? I have been Gold with Mlife for a few years and at each Caesar's owned property I visit I stop by the Total Rewards desk and ask about tier/status matching program. They have all told me that they will only grant a Diamond status with a Platinum or Noir Mlife card. I was in Las Vegas last week and was told the same. Has the program recently changed or are the Atlantic City properties different with the Borgata being the only Mlife property in the town? I am hoping that's the case.

100%. You either had a bunch of bad CSRs or just unlucky. There's many data points and I personally know a few people from both LV and AC locations who have successfully matched to CR Diamond from MLIFE Gold.

Looking at the CR Match T&Cs, it even lists MLIFE Gold, PLatinum, and Noir being able to be matched to Diamond. If you look at the list from the link below, those are all the eligible programs and tiers that are eligible to be match to diamond. Not sure why you had a problem. I would bring up the T&C's next time you're told no by a CSR. It shouldn't be a YMMV case.

Great news! And I appreciate the link for the T&C's. I live about 40 minutes from Atlantic City so I will stop over at Caesars first and then Ocean Resort right after for an evening of Status Matching sometime soon. Lol. Thanks again for the confirmation and information!

No problem. FYI, for the Ocean's match, in case you were expecting FP offer with it since they were offering it for a while, they had discontinued it. But Hard Rock still offers the $100 FP with their match offer. Might as well go there too since they are right next door.

Great thanks, can the matching of MLife to Caesars Reward Diamond, then CR Diamond to Ocean's Premier Platinum be done online? I'm looking on the caesars website and don't see a status matching page.

No, from MLIFE to CR directly it has to be done in person at one of their properties. What you can do is, the backdoor way, match your Hyatt Glob to Wyndham Diamond online, and then Wyndham Diamond to CR Diamond online.

Check out the review thread for the property.

You most likely will not get an upgrade. I was there twice and did not. I used a suite upgrade and got a gorgeous corner ocean facing suite though.

Breakfast is in one of 2 restaurants - but for both stays I had to ask them to remove the charges, and they did without question.

I was unable to get an MLife status match - I don't know if the program restarted. I was last there in Sept.

There is no lounge that I'm aware of. Parking was not free, even though I was on an award. It is not charged to the hotel, and therefore, not part of the program. I had to pay on the way out at the pick up desk.

Unfortunately, Ocean's is the only hotel/casino MLIFE/Borgata doesn't match for some reason. Maybe they don't recognize it as a competitor due to it's current issues. It even matches the crappy Resorts AC and not Ocean's.

Just realized after reading your post again, are you a Globalist? If so, why are you matching to MLIFE when you can match online automatically? Hyatt Glob can get MLIFE Gold via website match.

Ocean Resort is offering Status Matches

It does say that the match applies to new members.

I already matched when the program first came out. At the time (Sept '18) Ocean was no longer matching.

Oh well. I probably won't go/stay again because they changed their pet friendly policy. I'm not that far away, and it was a nice, quick getaway.

I was referring to the match from Oceans to MLIFE at Borgata.

For the new members criteria, I believe they're bending it or it's a YMMV case. I was a previous member and they matched me without any issues. Guess they must be hurting or desperate.
