I've been to the Ocean Resort a few times and the hotel is definitely not sold out. They only use certain floors. You can tell by the lights. I usually arrive very late, like 11pm and there are blocks of dark floors. It's a shame. Also, as a globalist, it is very unlikely you will get a suite upgrade here. They don't sell them/rarely seem the on the Ocean Resort site. The breakfast is a joke. 2x I checked out and was told I wasn't going to be charged. 3rd time, told the same, but two weeks later, accounting decided to charge me. They eventually reversed it, but you have to run around calling and asking and explaining to everyone that you shouldn't be charged resort fees/breakfast as a globalist. Asking for late check out is also like pulling teeth.
@RMZ2006 I think your best best is to just keep checking. I wish this was a true Hyatt. This is more like a partnership than an Unbound...

Yea, sounds like I just have to keep looking and maybe get lucky. I've spoken to multiple Hyatt reps who acknowledge that there may be rooms available at the hotel but for Hyatt purposes it is sold out for the date I'm looking at. Fortunately this is just a one-night getaway that's relatively local for me so it's not the end of the world if a room doesn't open up.

Wow, looks like Ocean Resort will have a new owner soon. I wonder if this will remain a Hyatt.

Update: I stayed back in August with a free night award didn't get credit called Hyatt CS a few min the CS had the supervisor put it on the account. I also got my credit back in July.
Now confirmed all cash credit paid stays at Ocean count as stay credit points and comp rooms do not. Also Globalist and Black card there pay no resort fees on rooms cash credit or comp.
Enjoy.

the TCs sounds clear that even for paid or P+C stays, globs dont pay resort fees. but Ocean is a casino though. DPs sounds so YMMV and i always read about people fighting to get it waived. hence, i try to avoid resort fee properties in general for paid stays and use only award stays. however, for Ocean, since its actually part of the Unbound collection aka Hyatt hotel vs Mlife MGM Hyatt affiliation, then all resort fees should be waived.
so what about parking? did you get that waived too as a glob?

Just got back on hyatt free night stay. Since room was booked with hyatt I couldnt use my comps for food charges to room. So if you have comp dollars pay with your comp dollars at restaurant. Hotel was very quite doesnt have same vibe as hard rock or borgata. Also stayed at water club at borgata and place is not the same since mgm took over. Rooms need to be redone and indoor pool area has loose tiles and chair covers had holes in them.

Hello players) Maybe do you have some recommendations for me. I'm from Denmark and tried to play and learn only in Asia (Bangkok, Macau, Manila). In two or three months I'll come to the US. At the moment sometimes I keep playing in online casinos such as Big Win on Gclub. So if you have some advice about the US, help me!

Stay Report - 5/24-26
Location: The hotel is located on the north end of the Atlantic City Boardwalk. In fact, it's the last hotel at this end of the Boardwalk. You can walk from it pretty easily to the other Boardwalk hotels as well as to the pier and the beach. The airport if you're using it is a $31 Uber ride, the train station about $10 and the Borgata area hotels about $12. I was very happy with the location.
Hotel: The hotel itself is also pretty impressive. There's a massive lobby with escalators that run up to the casino and to reception as well as elevators. The hotel reception floor has a bar and a restaurant as well as some nice outside space and a library style sitting area near the elevators. The casino is really impressive with the best sportsbook in AC in my estimation. The casino has several more bars and allows smoking including of cigars.
Check In: Pretty bad. The hotel was overwhelmed for Memorial Day and our agent was harried and tired and also not very good at answering questions. My brother and I had been forced to book a room with a king bed and we weren't able to get into anything else. The agent disappeared for a while and said they couldn't waive the fee for a rollaway cot either. Oh well. Also no Discoverist benefits mentioned though they do have a Globalist line
Room: Really nice. Comfortable bed, desk, two arm chairs, a really nice bathroom with an excellent shower and good working Wifi plus a nice enough view. Do note that soundproofing is awful. You can hear every word spoken by anyone in the next room or in the hallway.
Overall I was pretty impressed. It has the basic large casino resort feel and its new and modern and comfortable as well as well located as I prefer the boardwalk area when I'm in AC. I'd be back even at the high prices.

Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City
Booked a stay at Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City using my points as a Globalist. Anyone stayed here before that can offer a review of what to do and expect?
Anyone stayed as a Globalist that can share their experiences? Upgrade at check in? Breakfast included? Lounge access?

I haven't stayed as a Glob - but it's a great property. You will get to skip the check-in line, there is a Glob-only line which is nice. Can't speak to breakfast and/or lounge.
Amazing use of points/certs on the weekend when the room rate is $400! Going back next week.
