Just got off the phone with Ocean free night stays through Hyatt have to pay the $25 resort fee. Figure I would get that out of the way.

Im not sure if this is related but also used my Chase Hyatt Visa to pay for the room and I did not receive the additional points for my purchases at the resort.
I reached out to Chase, who couldn’t really help me and said they needed to reach out to Hyatt.
I guess I will be reaching out to Hyatt to credit for my stay.

I want to like the property - but the missteps on my stay 6/30-7/1 make me wonder if it's going to last as a Hyatt property. Hyatt's twitter team promised hotel management would reach out, and I still haven't heard anything. I'm back the end of this month, so I'll report further then.
As for my stay - same issues as you, Readog. Tried to check in after 1300, their system was down, and finally came back up after 1600. No one even offered water (whatever, I got some from VIP check in once I figured out where that was). Took multiple conversations to figure out. I did get them to honor a late checkout after multiple attempts. Checkout had issues - they had breakfast on my bill, and I argued about the resort fee. They said everything was taken off, and never printed a folio.
I got a standard room on a high floor. View was awesome, room was nice - but there was a lot of dust on counters - I think I might have been the first person to stay in the room since it reopened. Not a dealbreaker, but it's clear they were rushed and didn't do a last check on rooms.
As for the pool: It opened on 7/1 afternoon. Apparently it was waiting on a permit. This pool is at lobby level, off of the spa - it's an inside/outside pool. The day club at beach level is different.

Are you a globalist @JonEMTP? Assuming the taxes weren't taken off since you did points and cash? Was there a limit on breakfast? Guessing no studio suite upgrade for you? Did you try to ask for it? Does the reservation show in your hyatt account at least?
Read will run for miles review. She had an encounter with management and it was unpleasant. She's globalist as well. I have a feeling this won't be a true Hyatt and it will eventually leave.
According to travelzork, these are the benefits globalists are supposed to get. I wonder how globs will be treated as a black card holder (if we'll get a black card), if we'll get lounge access?

- Hyatt Globalist gets treated as an Ocean PREMIERE Black Card holder.
- Resort fees waived for Hyatt Globalist.
- Breakfast for two at either Harper’s on the lobby level or Café 500 (open 24 hours) on the casino level.
- Free bottles of water.
- Separate lines for Hyatt Globalist and Ocean PREMIERE Black Card.
- Hyatt Globalist members will be upgraded to a Studio Suite.

the TravelZork article isn't wrong, per se. I'm fairly certain the suite upgrade will happen some of the time - but it was Friday night of opening weekend, so I was pretty happy with my high floor room. I actually had breakfast with the TravelZork author on Saturday AM - our plates had been sitting under the warming lamp for a while - the food was ok, but not amazing. breakfast benefit was incredibly nebulous - we did entree+coffee because that would definitely be covered without question, but there was no guidance from anyone as to what was covered.
As for Hyatt Globalist = Black Card - it's one line for both, in the main check in area and in VIP. I think that's what the author was saying. There was no invite into the casino lounges that I was aware of
I'm optimistic it will stay within Hyatt. After Labor Day, they will be doing anything they can to fill their rooms, and even then, it's a nice hotel for a category 3 stay.

Thanks Jon. I also did the status match so I was able to check out the lounge. I probably won't end up staying until next month, going to give the place time to work out the kinks. Ah that sucks if the author meant it's the line at check in. It would be nice if we can get the black card too.

I stayed Sat night July 14th. Checked in at 5 pm was farely quick maybe 15 min at most about 4 front desk employees working. Globalist and Black card had priority lines and they were waited on first. $100 deposit swiped on my credit card did not see the $25 resort fee on my CC as of today. Was given a bag with two hats in it and two waters! No points or past stay info in the Hyatt app or website showing up yet. Hotel room was level 26 king room view of other casinos. Super clean no dust or dinged furniture. Bed was very comfortable. Won later that night around $460 on Walking Dead slot and Buffalo Grand playing 75 cents. All around a good stay beautiful casino.
