Well for one, they taste very different. Two, when I have club access, periodically I would like a soda and personally I hate Pepsi, and find it odd that they seem to have an agreement with Pepsi, given that Pepsi is much less common than Coke. Legitimate question and I have always wondered if frequent Hyatt guests just prefer it and I am in a minority or something, since the general marketplace dominance in food service is most definitely coca cola.
Finally, I could say things like "I can't believe anyone still drinks cheap club wine/beer/booze" or "only a drunk would worry about what cheap liquor they have" or "is there enough food to scrounge a full meal in X hotel club? Sounds like something a bum would worry about" etc etc. Keep your smarmy and useless commentaries to yourself.

The fridges at the Andaz Toyko (both in the lobby and in the rooms) are stocked with cans Coke and Coke Zero Sugar.

I'd say if you don't have a strong preference, you're in a tiny minority. Every cola drinker I know has a very strong preference for one versus the other. Personally, I never liked either one, but I remember liking RC Cola in the days I used to drink that stuff.

I prefer Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke but if have to drink the full on sugar version it is Coke all the way. All these drinks taste different. Just like Sprite, 7-Up and Sierra Mist do and that there is a decided difference between Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Schwepps....don't even get me started on Root Beers....
I'm completely serious here. If people can't taste the difference in these products, their palates for other non-pop beverages may not be as good as they think (please note I say taste the difference, there is nothing to say they have to like these beverages).
