Targeted?
Wow, if I had stayed 59 nights to date, I'd be pissed.
Seriously, they probably should have seen this coming. With their footprint, it's hard for people outside the US to stay 60 nights. YTD, I've spent about 80 nights in hotels, and for more than half the places, there isn't even a Hyatt in the country.

I just received this offer. I'm currently at 30 nights with reservations for 7 more. I had resigned myself to not keeping Glob status as there was no way I would be staying 23 more nights. 13 more looks doable, though ...

Not targeted - I didn't get the email, but a quick google yielded Lucky's post. Everyone with the credit card can sign up:

Wow, Hyatt. Just wow.
I have 21 nights YTD with Hyatt. I do have 21 nights of work travel that I've yet to book.

This is now making its way around the internet. Wait for the long lines of globalites all asking for suite-available upgrades.

I just hit 30 nights, so I will only need 50 for the year. I'm happy with that (and glad I didn't cancel the Hyatt card in June).

Just got my hyatt card in June and knew there's was no way I would make this but now I have a chance to make explorist. I'm new to hyatt but I'm guessing my two free nights at Tokyo hyatt aren't going to count toward status... but what about three nights I have planned using points and cash?

60 would have been extremely difficult for me, although I've also had 12 award nights which would count in most other programs (my #1 issue when contacted as part of the Globalist survey)
