Here we go again. 20-night Globalist for Hyatt credit cardholders.

[JackE],

As a Hyatt Credit Cardmember, you can upgrade your status three times faster.1

Be on your way to enjoy room upgrades, Club lounge access and more.

Here’s how it works:

1 Register by September 30, 2017.

2 Stay a minimum number of qualifying nights2 at any Hyatt hotel or resort between September 1 and December 30, 2017.

– 10 nights for Explorist status (normally 30)
– 20 nights for Globalist status (normally 60)

3 Enjoy the benefits of upgraded status through February 2019.

Targeted?

Wow, if I had stayed 59 nights to date, I'd be pissed.

Seriously, they probably should have seen this coming. With their footprint, it's hard for people outside the US to stay 60 nights. YTD, I've spent about 80 nights in hotels, and for more than half the places, there isn't even a Hyatt in the country.

Just got this myself. Only 5 nights with Hyatt this year due to the changes but I will easily hit this now.

Any one know if this is will be globalist lite?

I just received this offer. I'm currently at 30 nights with reservations for 7 more. I had resigned myself to not keeping Glob status as there was no way I would be staying 23 more nights. 13 more looks doable, though ...

I hope as Hyatt continues to give out status like candy they don't count this as their promo for fall

Not targeted - I didn't get the email, but a quick google yielded Lucky's post. Everyone with the credit card can sign up:

Wow, Hyatt. Just wow.

I have 21 nights YTD with Hyatt. I do have 21 nights of work travel that I've yet to book.

I'm guessing this is Globalite.

This is now making its way around the internet. Wait for the long lines of globalites all asking for suite-available upgrades.

I just hit 30 nights, so I will only need 50 for the year. I'm happy with that (and glad I didn't cancel the Hyatt card in June).

Can anyone confirm that the fast-track Globalist won't be able to get the 4 suite upgrades? I heard the only way to get the suite update is to achieve 60 nights.

Just got my hyatt card in June and knew there's was no way I would make this but now I have a chance to make explorist. I'm new to hyatt but I'm guessing my two free nights at Tokyo hyatt aren't going to count toward status... but what about three nights I have planned using points and cash?

I am at 24 nights and will now commit to fulfilling 20 additional nights to keep Globalist for the fourth consecutive year.

60 would have been extremely difficult for me, although I've also had 12 award nights which would count in most other programs (my #1 issue when contacted as part of the Globalist survey)
