No benefits you might expect from other types of hotel status like breakfast or club access, and though room upgrades are listed as a possible benefit, in my experience the best you should expect is maybe a "view" upgrade, and on the weekend likely nothing. Any special treatment in Vegas generally comes as a result of actual gambling activity rather than otherwise-earned casino program status.

It's an expensive hotel but your Gold Hilton status may give you some value for staying at the Waldorf Astoria on the Strip (formerly the Mandarin Oriental). The Tropicana is an older hotel but it's had some renovations done and I believe is a Hilton family hotel as well. Not sure what the elite status benefits are at either property but there are likely threads available in the Hilton forum with more info.
So we are staying Thursday through Sunday at the Trump International. Apparently Hilton has property in that hotel and I was offered a very cheap rate. But we fly in on Wednesday. I want to stay at the southern (or more southern) end of the strip. I was just looking to maximize a Wednesday night in the freezing cold.

There's definitely nothing you can get with Mlife Gold for a one-night stay that would make it worth all of that mattress running at Hyatts.

I'd suggest looking at booking through Virtuoso (or similar programs offered with the Amex Platinum Card (FHR) or Chase Sapphire Reserve card (Chase Luxury Hotel Collection)) at one of the nicer Strip properties. You should be able to get some of the top Strip hotels for very cheap on a Wednesday in February, and booking through those programs will make you eligible for a room upgrade, free breakfast, late checkout, and a $100 credit for either the spa or dining depending on the hotel and the program booked through. That's far more benefit than Mlife Gold will get you.

I stayed at an Mlife property in August but didn't do this (didn't know). Anyone have success with "missed stay" option on site to get points after the fact? Found my own answer: IV at https://help.hyatt.com/en/hyatt-term...erms.html#/IVD

I dropped from MLife Plat to Pearl this week. I'm still WoH Explorist. Is Explorist supposed to get me something better than Pearl? I'm already "linked", so not sure there's any step to take. If I'm entitled to a better MLife status (Gold, rather than Platinum now maybe?), do I call MLife or Hyatt to get it fixed? Or is there an online link or workaround?

Thanks!

Just to note, it's actually VI that mentions retroactive credit - within 1 year is fine.

Right now I'm base tier with Hyatt yet I'm gold at Hilton and Spire Elite at IHG. Seems as there is no "clout" in Vegas except Hyatt and that can translate to status at M-Life that then can transfer to Total Rewards. It seems as though Hyatt status is the "gateway" from regular hotel chains to casino hotel chains. Is this correct?

Regards, if I start (START!!!) the publicly available Elite Tier offer from Hyatt (https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/e...trialtier.html) and get Explorist (temporarily at least for 90 days)...can I request a status match to M-Life Rewards Gold Tier? Is there another option? Going to Vegas in February.
You emphasized start the trial explorist offer, so I'm assuming you are not finishing it. Thus, you would not get a tier match at MLife. Only once you complete the 10 nights and earn Explorist through Feb 2020 are you able to match to MLife. If you were to complete it though, you'd automatically get MLife Gold from there.

Your best option is to match IHG Spire Elite to La Quinta, which should get you their highest tier Elite status. Then that is automatically matched by Wyndham since Wyndham owns LQ, so you should get diamond there. Finally, Wyndham is automatically matched by Total Rewards, diamond to diamond, through their partnership. I believe all of these are done via email (maybe LQ -> Wyndham has a form online for automatic), so you should be able to do it easily but allot a few weeks since you need to wait for email responses from all of them. Total rewards diamond should give you the $100 welcome dinner so you could book that during your time in Vegas. The only non-automatic match is to LQ - not sure if that's a sure thing from IHG. Once you have LQ, you're golden for the rest.

I am still showing up as a mLife Platinum. I got the mLife status due from the days of being Hyatt Diamond.

I realized last week that I had dropped from Platinum to Sapphire.

It was really easy to use my Globalist for Gold using the offer on my WoH login clicking the opt-in link.

https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/e...tnerships.html

That was it! No need for further entry as I guess they had kept my MLife information.

Did you match back to Hyatt? Should I match now or wait until my explorlist status expires in Feb 2019? Thanks!

This is an undocumented feature, pal. Nobody can tell you what you should do. That has to be your call.

Regarding the first question above: not in the last several months at least.

Regarding the second question above: I don't know if matching now will work for you to extend your Explorist status to last beyond Feburary 2019, but it may work after February 2019 if the mlife-to-Hyatt relationship is as it used to be.

Matching back a month ago moved mine to 2020 momentarily then back to 2019. So effectively did not extend my WoH status beyond Feb 2019.

My practice has been to match twice a year (once in each direction, shortly after status expires). This means March & October.

I'm not interested in Mlife, but I am in keeping Explorist for as long as possible. I've just become Explorist through the Andaz x2 promo. I'm not likely going to be able to keep it. I'm listed Explorist to Feb 2020 and have 4 club passes. How is it that I can extend this and get 4 more passes?
Can anyone help me with the above?
