It's supposed to guarantee 2pm checkout. In practice, it varies widely depending on the clufefulness of the FDC. (Hyatt customer service will not back you up on this. Instead, they'll claim idiotically that the benefit is "subject to availability" even though the T&C make very, very clear that this limitation applies only at certain properties such as resorts.)

I like to know the following:
1) When matching from Mlife to Hyatt, after become Explorist level in Hyatt program, how long it will expire . Is it cover all the way to the end of Dec 2023.
2) To match back from Hyatt to Mlife, action should be done after gold level (Mlife) expired on January, 31, and any restriction time frame (until when) can do this step to rematch from Hyatt to Mlife.
Please advise and thank you.

2. You would rinse/repeat when your MGM Rewards status expires at the end of January (next year).

There's two different systems involved. It's entirely possible that the repeat matching issue has been resolved to an extent on the Hyatt side, but not the Mlife side.

1. It depends on when you do the match, but generally speaking it is good through the end of February the following year at the minimum or +2 years (still end of February) at maximum.

Thanks . Is there any where to see the expiration date for Explorist in Hyatt. If so, where can I see that information listing. I did rematch from Mlife to Hyatt in November2022, and not sure if I need to do it again during Febuary 2023. I was told that after matching ( from Mlife to Hyatt), the explorist level will last until end of the year. Not sure if that in formation is correct.

How about if that "useless" program is used to match status that you do use ?
Without Hyatt Explorist there is no easy path to MGM Gold
Without Wyndham Diamond no easy path to Caesars diamond.
I RARELY stay At Wyndham or Hyatt but use my MGM Gold and Caesars diamond dozens of time per year via a status match from "useless" programs.
If people don't match back MGM gold to Hyatt Explorist that link is gone and you have to earn MGM Gold
If you have no need for Hyatt or MGM status don't do the easy match.
SINCE THIS THREAD is about matching Hyatt to MGM my GUESS is most here have a need for the "useless" Hyatt Explorist status

HD involves a lot of stays @ Hilton or paying a steep ($450 ) annual fee on a credit card.
Same with IHG Platinum, if you never stay there why do you have a IHG credit card with an AF that provides Platinum status ?

These days I just do it out of habit, like how I would always bend over and pick up a penny I find on the ground, even though there is no real merit to me for doing so.

THIS THREAD originated several years ago, when getting comped Explorist status really did have merit worth going out of one's way for.
These days I just do it out of habit, like how I would always bend over and pick up a penny I find on the ground, even though there is no real merit to me for doing so.

MGM GOLD Status FOR ME DOES have merit and involves having the useless Hyatt status unless you want to earn 75K TC.
Anyway I'm done here, the worthless status gets me free parking, dedicated check in line and saves me about $1000 in resort fees a year.............not to mention all of the matches to other casinos my mgm gold status got me.
