I am a "Glob"
Checking in today at the HP Baton Rouge, with a nice little sign welcoming their elite members, with the elite designations beside their first initial and last name.
There are two "Glob" here tonight, with a few "Expl" as well, and maybe one "Disc".
It probably isn't a great idea to have a sign with the first initial and last name of guests sitting at the front door. Some folks might not want their information advertised.
And, I have a hunch the marketing geniuses at Hyatt didn't plan on "Glob" being the name that is going to stick for this program.

Hyatt should change Courtesy Card to Gelatinous Glob as a way to indicate the extra specialness of that tier. Courtesy Card just sounds prosaic and doesn't have the Millenial pizzaz that Hyatt seems to be looking for.

"Globi" is a cartoon character in Switzerland. My wife and I joke with this tier, that I am Globi and she's Globine (the girlfiriend cartoon character)

There are many to choose from here.
One's that caught my attention (from a long list) would be:
birds (sea) -- wreck. A wreck of Glob(s).
cats (general) -- nuisance. A nuisance of Glob(s).
locusts -- plague. A plague of Glob(s).
etc etc etc
Example:
(1) Hey Mike, i think several tables in the lounge are replete with Glob(s).
(2) Yeah, I noticed. It's a veritable plague of Glob(s) this evening.

ok, this post has now convinced me that "Globalist" tier status name is a very bad idea. I was willing to go along with it at first, but now I see that nobody wants to be called a Glob. I must admit, in all my stays this year, only one hotel check-in agent recognized my "Globalist" status out loud.
Everybody avoids saying it. I think maybe I would rather be called a MOAB at this point, as long as I can get consistent suite upgrades and free bottled water.
